I came here on a sunny evening on a Sunday and ordered the 3 piece salmon and chips. When we were ordering, we asked how the bottomless chips worked and the cashier told us that they«stopped doing bottomless chips for the night» so I asked why and she proceeded to tell us that it was too busy and usually we would just bring our empty cup to the pick up counter to get more chips. We thought that was unusual. On their menu sign it clearly advertises«Fish and Bottomless chips» if they were going to stop it for the rest of the night, they should cover it up on their menu. or at the very least just honour it. Wouldn’t all summer nights be busy? Does that mean they would have to stop honouring«bottomless chips» for all nights?

It’s a bit on the expensive side, but it did taste quite good and it’s hard to beat the Port Moody bay on a sunny weekend afternoon. Lines aren’t as long as they are at Steveston. The lemonade was great. Wish it was bottomless. I think the halibut and the salmon were the best. The cod was a bit disappointing. The flavor was a bit muddy and the texture was not as good.

If I’m going for fish & chips, it has to be Pajo’s! Love it! Not too greasy! I love the fish nuggets. It’s great that if it’s your birthday, it’s on the house(not when they’re closed for the season though!!! :-( Chips are served in newspaper, just like the British do it! When I’m out in Steveston, I like to hit Pajo’s there also! Can’ go wrong with these guys!(Try there fish tacos too… yummy!)

Came here at lunch on a weekday. Wasn’t very busy. We had our order to go. Ordered the 2 piece Cod and chips($ 11), coleslaw and lemonade($ 3.50). Lemonade was really good and fresh. But it can be made at home. The cod was delicious fried just right. Their tartar sauce compliments it well. The coleslaw was a good side to have with the fish too. I didn’t find the fries too greasy. My to go order was complete. They gave a lot of tartar sauce, napkins, ketchup, vinegar, pepper, salt just grab your cutlery on the way out. The weather was great and their is a lot of seating. They were able to prepare the food quickly. Definitely come here with the family and enjoy the good weather we are having. :)

We enjoyed our fish and chips and burger in beautiful Port Moody. It was my first time and it was pretty quick considering the line up and the cod wasn’t extremely greasy and the potatoes were done with just the right amount of crisp! We will defiantly be back.

Finally visited this place after haring so much about it! The fish and chips were delicious. Fries were crunchy and fresh, and the fish was not overly oily. It’s a great place to spend a weekend afternoon. Will be back to try more things on the menu!

After a long hike in the Salmon Arm beautiful area, we came here to fill up our tummies with some delicious fish and chips. We sat at the picnic tables around the shack that the food is ordered from and gets prepared and on a nice sunny evenings the views couldn’t be better… which elevated the experience more than just an average fish and chips take-out. I ordered the Halibut fish and chips, the fish was delicious and fresh but the fries were way too greasy. Also the wait was quite long so hence the 3 star review. Overall the fish is tasty and the view is great but the experience could be improved if they made the process a bit faster.

Came here on a Saturday to meet a friend. The park is gorgeous, so the view from the outdoor picnic tables of Pajo’s was beautiful. The fish and chips were amazing. I had the cod, the husband had the halibut. It was filling, tasty, hot and fresh. The homemade tartar sauce is fabulous! Highly recommend!

Yup, had to be close to the best F&C I’ve had, and the priciest, but hey, worth it. Halibut was thick, fresh and crunchy. Fries are home cut and done in fresh oil. Generous portions and lots of the best condiments. Eating by the sea on a clear blue sky day, a rickety table supporting your growing ass as gulls and kids whirl around you in a frenzy of greasy carby bliss… If this isn’t the quintessential F&C experience then it aught to be.

My husband and I came to Rocky Point to grab some fish and chips for a bite to eat after a bike ride around the inlet. There was a small lineup and some customers were waiting for their orders, but I wouldn’t say they were overwhelmingly busy. Overall I’m a fan of Pajo’s, but not of the slow service. Holy heck it was slowwwww. We waited for at least 20 minutes for our order. Luckily we were able to grab some seats on one of the bench tables to eat. The value was all right; for a Large Cod and Chips($ 14.78 + tax) you get 4 nice sized pieces of fish. Husband was probably less impressed with the food but I don’t take him to be a huge fish and chips fan to begin with. Besides, I enjoyed it! I had been craving fish and chips for months and it hit the spot. He noted that the fries weren’t salty, but I took that to be a good thing because in this day and age I think more people prefer to be in control of their salt intake and add as much or as little as they please. As I was picking up our order from the counter, the employee asked me right away if I would like some more tartar sauce. I don’t know if it was just an off day with respect to the slow service, but given that we live in the area I would still come back and try out the rest of their menu(fish tacos!). I would probably rate Pajo’s 4 stars, but have to give it a 3 based on how long it took to get our food.

I don’t think it’s possible for us to go to Rocky Point Park without a visit to Pajo’s when it is in season. We love the food there, especially, of course, the fish and chips! Sure, the lines can be long on a nice day, but I’d like to think that the reason for the lines is the good food.

It’s a shack in the middle of the park. Fish was fresh and tasty — the halibut is the best. The batter(and the frying) isn’t quite on the level of Red Fish, Blue Fish in Victoria, but I only had to wait 10 minutes for this(on a somewhat overcast day). I liked the mushy peas as a side — it’s good that there’s a healthy-ish and tasty option on an otherwise deep fried and breaded menu.

Perhaps I am a bit bias with my review because I’ve never had fish and chips that make me say«that is dammmmnnnn tasty». For fish and chips it is pretty good. Fair price: 10 dollars for a 2 piece cod fish and chips, it was enough for two people. If I was in the neighbourhood I would come back. And a bonus, there was some pretty sweet live music at the stage across from Pajos. Some bring a blanket, grab some fish and chips, and enjoy!

Not the best fish and chips I ever had but certainly not the worst! It’s on par with anything good along white rock’s main strip in my opinion. The fries are quite good and not overly greasy, which I like. The battered cod is adequate. One thing I do appreciate about this place is the variety of different fish. You can choose between cod, salmon and halibut. I have always felt that fish and chip places could explore a bit more with variety on their menus… I was in Dublin years ago and had the most AMAZING smoked cod and chips. Never seen it anywhere else since then.

I love that it’s location. The fish and chips are good, but not great. For the price I’d say you are really paying for the location primarily. C-lovers is cheaper and tastier in my opinion.

Excellent Fish and Chips. Light and not overly greasy. Lots and lots of fries. Crab Cakes are decent but not spectacular. Lineups tend to be long but that’s what happens when the food is good. Birds get aggressive because people have been feeding them. So if everyone stops feeding them, they’ll figure out that humans are not there for tasty treats and stop bugging you. Don’t sit at the tables without umbrellas… they tend to get shat on by birds.

Pro tip: Do not eat from my order. If I pay 37 bucks for 2 orders of fish and onion rings, I better not catch the kitchen staff helping themselves to my onions rings when they put my order out. Fo’ realz. Food wise: I had a large halibut. Some of my fries were cold, and although the fish was good the batter was kind of soggy. Ten minutes later I had an upset stomach(normally I could eat a bicycle with no Ill effects) so there’s that.

I come here at least once every summer when the weather is starting to warm up. This location has been here forever and I remember coming here when I was little as part of our field trip to Rocky Point Park. They serve fish and chips here wrapped in a newspaper cone, and the surrounding picnic tables conveniently have little holes where you can hold your cone while you eat. I believe they have a few different types of fish to choose from– cod, halibut, salmon, and all are deep fried with batter and served with fries. The fish is really tasty when dipped in their tar tar sauce and you also get to dress your own fries with the various seasonings and vinegar available. To be honest, I’m actually not a huge fan of fish, or anything deep fried… but I do like coming here once in a while just to soak up the sunshine and enjoy the atmosphere!

A great place to come and enjoy fish and chips, in the park here at Rocky Point, with the nice water, the mountains in the background, and some oily goodness going down your stomach, what could be better. There are line ups here on good sunny days, as I guess you could say this would be some great picnic food. The fish is battered just right, and they offer some good size options. The fries are a hit and miss affair, as sometimes, probably due to the steam build up of how they pack them on the little tray, they become soggy. The fish is the saving grace of the meal, as each piece is nicely battered, and crispy. If you come down here, and you are hungry, or if you are just getting it cause you want to try their food, be prepared to pay a price. A large order with a drink can come up to a $ 20 meal real fast, and I personally find that expensive for fish and chips, and you are not even in a restaurant environment. I guess your paying for the park facilities then.

Despite the fact that the lineup was really long, that we were stuck waiting behind some blabbering stoner and his spawn(or girlfriend’s spawn), and that they were sold out of the halibut fish and chips, I still love Pajo’s. Sure, we had to wait about 30 minutes for our order of fish and chips to come, but the portions are huge, and we could douse it with malt vinegar, too. The husband I shared a large order of cod and chips — on the menu it says this comes with 2 ½ pieces of fish, but it was really more like 4. You get loads of fries in the big paper cone, too. Way too many for one person to eat. While waiting, we decided to take a little stroll around Rocky Point Park, which is a pretty park that looks out over Burrard Inlet and Ioco/Belcarra on the other side. A pretty park at sunset and a big cone of fish and chips to share with my hunny — what more do you need?
