Some of the best beer I’ve ever had! It’s no wonder their Red Lager won the gold medal for best red in Canada for 2015. Great service, great atmosphere, fantastic history, an overall great experience.

I almost drove pass this brewery myself, so when I noticed something about the sign I did a sharp turn into the empty parking lot which woke up my passenger. The reason was the building and awnings looked like a normal restaurant, but just enough signs to indicate it was a brewery so we took this risky detour with the chance of hitting rush hour traffic on the highway later. Once inside, the set up was wide open with barrels, old wood and steel furnishing that provides warm and cozy feeling. There was some history pieces and memorabilia with an L-shaped bar awaiting us and next to it was where the mini-growlers where. As others came to check out the place, we got our tasting 3/$ 4.50 but they didn’t have all the varieties on tap at that time. It tasted lighter in flavour than what I’m accustom to, the term is refreshing. They’re relatively new, so there’s plenty of time to develop their brand and followers. It’s a guaranteed stop when nearby Port Perry.

Recommended by a friend, we could not have been more impressed! The atmosphere is warm, inviting and memorable. We ordered a flight of beer because we couldn’t decide on such a tantalizing selection and then opted for a Red & Dirty Blonde. Both were delicious! We wish we lived closer to Port Perry, there’s no doubt that we would be regulars. 10 out of 10!

A must visit if you are within a reasonable driving distance. Stopped in last week and was blown away. The building has character. The staff is very friendly. And most importantly the beer is money. All 8 of them. There is something for everyone. Can’t say enough good things about these people and the beer. Keep up the great work and I look forward to what is yet to come

Great craft beer, good vibe, take some growlers home. A tasty treat, if you ever see their beers on tap at your local it is totally worth a try. The vanilla porter is a gem, not too sweet, loaded with flavour, give it a try!

I thought we were heading back to Stouffville to eat some burger, but my Unilocal friend just pulled into a parking lot and when I looked up I saw the sign«Old Flame Brewing Co». I knew this would be good… Old Flame Brewing Co is housed in the former Ontario Carriage Works built in 1884 but it is nicely restored. The tasting room area is really spacious with plenty of seating and I love all the rustic wooden decoration! Blond? Dirty Blond(Kellerbier)? Brunette? Red? Perry Loved Mary till the Bitter End(IPA)? Tasting is $ 4.50 for 3 or just order a pint. Free Tour everyday maybe I need to come back for that. And definitely picking up a mini growler(750 ml) for $ 5.50 each. Super Friendly people running this brewery and maybe I just find beer drinkers a happy bunch?
