La Grolla

Great fondue. Great wait staff. Super friendly. We got a tomato and garlic fondue with veggies. The fondue was amazing. The bread is firm which makes it perfect to dip cheese with and veggies were fresh. The chocolate fondue as desert was yummy but nothing grand. Our waitress Alexandria was amazing but I do wish they had more help as service was slow because it was packed. I recommend it for a nice romantic meal if you have no where to run to afterwards.

Lovely place. Nice service staff. Pretty great cheese. I agree the bread is nothing flash, and the fondues don’t come with anything else unless you pay a lot more. Super over priced, and the chocolate fondue is absolutely not worth it. Not very good chocolate, and the fruit was brutal… But it’s winter so they get a pass on fresh fruit :)

Warm and considerate service, the fondues were enjoyable, but nothing earth shattering. As mentioned elsewhere the bread could’ve been more memorable. Chocolate fondue was rather runny and lacking.

The one star is for the delightful waitress and the starter. From there it went downhill fast. We ordered 2 cheese fondues. Both of them were grainy and not smooth, this, I believe, is a result of overheated cheese. They were also uninteresting in flavor. The bread for dipping was very soft. I ordered a plate of vegetables to try and make it better, it did not help. In this city of fantastic bakeries, how could the bread NOT be crusty? The final strike was the amateur presentation of the dessert with a ham-​handed covering of most of the simple cake with chocolate syrup.
This was the most expensive meal of our 5 days here in Old Quebec ($ 140 for 2 w/​½ bottle of wine, tax and tip) and definitely the least enjoyable.
I hope the proprietor of this 60 year old restaurant was not in the kitchen this day and this was an anomaly.

WOW loved this place. Prices are a little high but the food was amazing!

Start with cheese end with chocolate!!! But the maple is best! The beef is tender and service is also great! So so good!!!

Thought this place was very good. Had the fondue. Very small and quaint. Cute switzerland themed restaurant. Quiet and romantic.

Great fun! Delicious fondue. Went for the triple header: cheese, beef and chocolate!
