His restaurant was AMAZING! We went on a Monday night in the middle of February so it wasn’t packed which was nice. The service was very«French»(as expected) but attentive and helpful. The food was absolutely wonderful! Keep in mind we don’t like overly fancy fine foods so we were thrilled with the good hearty Italian food here. We got the Deux Salmon Pasta, 4 Fromages Flat Bread, Sapristi Pasta, Crème Brûlée and an IPA beer plus their house Cabernet Sauvignon. The pastas were incredible! We couldn’t stop commenting on how good. Drinks were great too. Crème brûlée was good but a little burned on top. The place has great ambience and is connected to their bar as well as two seating floors for eating. It was well designed and comfortable we didn’t feel as if it was too crowded. Was also on a great street for walking around doing some shopping and site seeing. Would definitely go back!

Amazing. Great food, ambiance, service. It’s Real, happening, cozy. We decided on this place on a Monday night. It was freezing outside but this place was packed with a nice melting pot of locals and tourists. The best french onion soup I’ve tasted in a LONG time and the pasta was fresh and unique. Highly recommended.

stopped here for dinner before new years and absolutely loved it! we were glad to have found a seat on such a busy night with no reservations. our server was a ball of energy, super friendly and very hospitable. food: deli platter — fresh and appetizing! it came with an onion and pear confit that was DELICIOUS! i wanted to put this on everything fig & chorizo flatbread — holy crap, the bread on this thing was incredible. it was light and crispy with the perfect amount of flavor and crunch. i was dreaming about this for days after mac n cheese — good but RICH(as expected). get this if you’re prepared to take a nap immediately afterwards salmon tartar — so fresh! i loved the addition of goat cheese and spices. came with a mountain of fries that we could barely touch after being stuffed from all the other menu items. we ordered a bloody caesar and gin cocktail drink on their mason jar menu, both were a bit too watery and sweet for my preference. minus the drinks, this place is great!!!

After a week of decadent, gourmet meals, we were all craving pizza and beer, and Sapristi delivered. The interior was modern but warm, bustling but cozy, and even without a reservation on a Friday night we were able to get a table right away. Our first order of business was beer: we ordered a pitcher of Tremblay lager, which proved to be an excellent choice. It was pleasantly simple, but with a hint of bready sweetness — perfect for pairing with rich or spicy food. We started with a Caesar salad and calamari for the table. The lettuce was fresh and the croutons crunchy, but with so much creamy dressing and shaved parmesan, it was a little too rich for a salad. The calamari was perfectly cooked, crispy outside and tender within, and came with a fabulous lemony aioli for dipping. As entrees, we shared a margherita pizza and one with arugula and proscuitto, and an order of spaghetti and meatballs. The pizza as a whole was excellent, with a chewy, thin crust, but it needed salt and pepper(there was no red pepper on the table, but they brought it when I asked) and the proscuitto was really more like deli ham — thicker and more juicy than I would have liked. I picked most of it off, but the arugula and cheese combination was still good. The margherita went quickly! Both spaghetti and meatballs were just mediocre; the pasta was overcooked and the meatballs a little dry, but the sauce was deeply flavorful, enough to make the dish enjoyable overall. Service was quick and friendly, but if we were to eat here again I would request a different table: ours had high stools that were extremely uncomfortable.

Picked this place out of so many choices in Quebec City after arriving from a long day of travel from Vancouver. The four cheese flatbread at $ 9 was scrumptious with a perfect crust and satisfied our initial hunger. The lovely K had a glass of white and me a glass of red after an average martini each. The martini itself was good, but the olives lacked that taste of the higher end ones we have at home. We both ordered pasta, me the meatballs and sausage sauce and K the carbonara. Both were very well prepared, a good sized portion and very satisfying. The meatballs are pork and veal which is different than the ones we make at home which have pork and extra lean ground beef, but very nice. We may even have to modify ours at home, that’s how good they were. The service was great with all our servers(all four of them) easily speaking English while helping us(mainly K) with our seldom used French. We would heartily recommend this place for the good food, great servers and easy going attitude. We shall return on our next trip to Quebec City which we hope will be sooner rather than later! A quick update: We did end up going back for lunch a couple of days later and we sure we’re glad that we did. The pizza that we chose was very good, and the crust exceptional. They even cut it in half for us(The lovely K got the larger half, or so it appeared to me lol) which was a nice touch. The beverages were very nice as well and they even let us take home a few new Coasters to add to our collection. Our second visit further cemented this place as a «go to» for us! Merci

Very good spot for a tasty dinner. I went out of my comfort zone with an asparagus appetizer that included a soft boiled egg. It was very tasty. The hotel concierge said they make a great pizza bit what had caught my eye was the pasta, so I stick with my original choice and was satisfied. It wasn’t amazing but very good. Finished up with a chocolate mousse and a glass of iced cider. All in all a comfortable spot for a tasty meal. I would try the pizza if I ended up coming back.

The food was quite good, and the service was excellent. The pizzas are delicious, and the pasta dishes have a good ratio of toppings to pasta. We ate here twice during our too-short stay in Quebec City and found both meals very satisfying.

Food was good but service was spotty. Took a while before we got served. Then took a while to get water. But they were quick to clear the plates. And quick to grab us off the street. We ordered the margherita and the pizza with blue cheese, arugula and pecans. Also we got the Caesar salad and the pasta carbonara. The pasta was oddly a little bland and a little overcooked. But the pizzas were good.

Started exploring the city and came upon this place right after lunch rush. Took a minute or two to be greeted and we’re told to sit wherever we wanted but we had a hard time finding a clean table. No problem, the gentleman who turned out to be our server, cleared a table for us, took our drink order and was a delight. French is of course their first language in Quebec but everyone we encountered in the service industry spoke English to accommodate without hesitation. We spoke high school French or at least tried; which in my travel experiences is usually appreciated by the people of your host city.(French is such a beautiful language — I hope to be further along in my ability soon enough.) Food was terrific. Fast and tasty which was exactly what we wanted. Pizza Margarita was zesty and its light fluffy crust was cooked perfectly, adding the right mix of soft crunch. The Greek salad along with our pizza(s)was delicious! Service was great, the lunch rush got cleaned up right after we sat down and the French windows were opened up on a perfect fall day. An older woman came in and sat at a front table with her book and a glass of wine. I loved it! Such a great image! I noticed later that evening on our way up the hill that Sipirini’s has a bar on the other side which opens at night. I’ll be back on my next visit! Great little pub!

Good, clean looking restaurant(the kind made by restauranteurs who own several) next to the old fort wall. Very reasonable prices here with good food. The Canard(Duck) pasta was good, as was my partner’s Sapristi pasta. The calamari app had very little taste. Good waiter who was always around and seemed to be having fun. Check the back patio for a different view. A fine restaurant if not one with a ton of identity or energy.

We ordered two different types of pizza and both were excellent. So the food gets five stars. However, the place is packed and loud which made it a bit irritating for me. It also resulted in slow service. But the servers were all very respectful which made up for it.

I had the San Francisco Pasta, hubby had the Margherita Pizza and we shared the Fried Calimari appetizer. The pasta was a hearty portion and the combination of flavors and ingredients — sun dried tomatoes, pine nuts and grilled chicken — was very good. I thought thatcthe pasta could’ve been a bit more al dente — it was overcooked and a bit soggy. I wasn’t too impressed with the pizza or the calimari either — both of which were just boring and ordinary.

Grande fan !

Not as good as people have described. We ordered the calamri, the pulled pork pizza, meatball spaghetti, crème brûlée and the apple pie dessert. Everything with the exception of the pizza was a little less than as average. Pizza was not bad but needs a little more pork on it. Price wise, everything mentioned came to $ 63. Yea, i know what you are thinking, i got ripped off. Portions were pretty small as well. Size of calamari was the size of a little coffee cup dish($ 11). The pizza was no better, about 7″ in diameter($ 18). Meatballs with spaghetti($ 13), plate was very big and deep. But the amount of spaghetti was like a pack of Chinese instant noodles with 3 pieces of meatballs size of a nugget. The 2 desserts, i don’t even want to go there. Willl i come back… just can’t.

We spent 7 days over Christmas ’14 in Quebec and this became one of our 3 favorite places. I adore a good croque monsieur and this place delivers in spades loaded to the nines and just so delish(I had 3 of them over said week). It’s served with delicious shoestring potatoes and a mason jar of mustard based cole slaw which is so good. And it is a whopping $ 14. You won’t finish it. We also had take out pizzas one night and they are outstanding — this is top quality food for not that much $. The servers were very friendly, the food very good and quick, even when quite busy, the atmosphere is great, what’s not to love? Allez et vous né serez pas déçu!(don’t worry — english is spoken here quite well!). Loved it!

I agree with some previous comments… A little too good for two stars, 2.5 for food but the atmosphere and service are quite good, boosting the rating to 3 stars. My husband joked to be careful of stars given by Canadians– they are far too kind and in Unilocal Canadian ratings should be reduced by a star for American opinions– lol! That being said– we each got a pizza– The americano and the carne– we felt that they were both kind of tasteless, starting with what seemed like prefab frozen crust and tasteless generic bad ingredients: pepperoni was terrible– didn’t even want to finish it and I was starving Drinks: The beer selections were good, but I ordered a glass of cotes du Rhone, and either they brought me some cheapo house wine instead, or it was the worst one ever made. Surprisingly– the kids chicken nuggets were pretty good and their French fries were actually awesome– wished I had ordered that! But there brownie was that frozen stuff again! Bottom line– try something else– or I hope they get better!
