This place makes the best food around. I was a regular there from opening day but it has become very dirty and unsanitary in my opinion. Last time i was there they had chickens in pans defrosting on the floor and many other unique ways of storing the food. Please clean and organize this restaurant so we can return again.

Very small family run business which makes very authentic middle eastern food. Better to order and go. Make it takeaway and enjoy your meal at home or the park. Both of us not being to Hungary I shared a combination plate with my wife and was replete. It was fantastic. Beef kabob 2x great spices and great flavor. Chicken shawarma delish I wish there was more. Tabouli fragrant and delicious. Hummus done correctly with extra virgin olive oil. Very flavorful. I’d return and order more if I could. Next time we will be back !

I appreciate that this restaurant is run by a hard-working couple trying to make it a success, however, my meal was average at best — the shwarma fillings(beef and chicken) were both dry(really dry) — and came with the three small dry quarter pitas to fill. The flavours were just okay. On a positive note, the side rice dish was great. Overall, it’s just hard for me to recommend Addy’s but I wish the owners all the best in their endeavours. Maybe it was just an off Saturday.

The best in town. Period. Not a restaurant! It is a place to order out and enjoy in the park or at home. Sooo good!

Great service. They turned on cartoons on their tv for the kids to watch and give us some peace to eat. We stopped for lunch from Edmonton on our way to Calgary. Ordered a large chicken shawarma with the works which was perfectly toasted. A large baba ganoush which was a tub that we took half home. Pita which could’ve been better warmed. Kibbeh was lovely and I ordered the meat pie which was really great fresh from the oven. It’s the best bang for buck you could get for quality, quantity and price. $ 26

Don’t judge this place by the exterior. We are visiting from the states and the food was amazing! Definitely exceeded my expectations. Don’t miss out!

I love Middle Eastern food and Addy’s delivers. I’ve tried much of their menu. The Schwarma is very good with generous portions. The kebbe is amazing, albeit a treat which I’d only recommend one or two pieces — the plate is a little overboard unless it’s part of a group meal. It’s worth testing out the menu as they cook up a lot of tasty options. The prices are very reasonable. By far my favourite lunch spot in Red Deer.

I was seriously craving a Chicken Shwarma. This family run joint did a fine job filling up my craving. They take their time in making a quality shwarma, which was packed with large chunks of real chick and sautéed veggies. I agree with Rob A. below on ordering ahead. Addy’s is a stand alone in Red Deer food scene for shwarma, and they hold of their end of the bargain. Stop on by so Addy’s can take care of your craving.

The food here is great. Although I am not a vegetarian, I was pleased to see numerous vegetarian options. I like meat so I ordered the mixed grill plate which came with a healthy portion of rice(delicious with ground beef and spices); lemony tabbouleh(one of the best I’ve had); pita bread; 2 kafta(I don’t know what kind of spice is in there, but it is good — very comforting); 4 good-sized chunks of chicken breast and 4 good-sized chunks of beef as well as a few pieces grilled veggies and garlic sauce. All the meats were grilled, very tender and well seasoned. I also ordered a zaatar pie which was excellent! The dough was soft and warm and the zaatar was yummy. I will definitely be returning to try more of their tasty dishes. I think maybe the cheese pie, spinach pie or meat pie or falafel or shawarma or… whatever — I’ll go back for sure!

Really fresh, we both had chicken shawarmas. Nice chunks of real chicekn breast, not ground up meat, with crispy bits. Pita was warm and crispy. Good hummus.
