Well this place is not for the faint of heart… it is a well worn greasy spoon for sure. It is not exactly clean looking but not exactly dirty… Apparently they also have the best shakes in Red Deer — at least according to the 12 year old nephew! We let his brother choose an earlier eatery so now — for his turn– the Burger Baron it was! The place is pretty big and had endless choices for burgers including the Royal(I believe it comes with cheese), the Salisbury and the Wrangler and an even more endless choice for shakes — I stopped counting at 30. They must change out flavors as there were at least 10 written over on duct tape! The nephew went for the large vanilla — turns out his mum only ever lets him get a small… I went for strawberry and hubby got banana. They were super, super thick and the straw was no match — I gave up after ¼ but what I had was pretty tasty. The nephew sheepishly admitted he should have got the medium and the hubby finished off the leftovers! There seemed to be a steady stream of regulars and the service was friendly. When in Rome…
