Thought we’d try this place. Not impressed. The free wonton soup was DISGUSTING. The wontons were full of gristly meat that I had to spit in my napkin. Couldn’t even chew it. And the broth was most definitely just chicken soup mix, minus the noodles, and extremely salty. The meal itself was not the best. Sure, there is plenty of selection as far as veggies, meats, and sauces go. But how is someone to know if you’ve put enough sauce in your bowl? Once you hand it over to be weighed and cooked, you can’t just go get more sauce. As a result, my meal was not nearly saucy enough, it was rather dry. It worked out to $ 20 a person for a bowl of slightly disappointing stir-fry. I’d honestly rather spend that money at an actual Asian restaurant and order off the menu, that way the food has been assembled, seasoned, and sauced according to the chef’s specifications, which would likely be infinitely more appetizing than the average person’s trial and error at a place like Mongolie Grill. Just not my type of meal I guess.
