Their internet always cuts out and isn’t consistent. It usually works better when you turn off the internet box, but this can take some time, about five minutes. I don’t understand why they can’t offer internet that doesn’t cut out all the time. When I lived in Saskatchewan, SaskTel internet was much better although it cost a little more. But I am willing to pay more for a good quality product. I would be willing to pay a little more for service that actually works. We had to replace our cable box because it wouldn’t record CFL football last year. Since the replacement, have still had some problems with the PVR recording programs without sound. Shaw is just another example of large corporations focusing on their profits and offering a poor quality product. I don’t care how friendly your customer service is on the phone. Give me a product that ACTUALLY works and I don’t need to rely on customer service over the phone.

I have been a Shaw customer for about 6 years, now. In all of that time, I’ve never had poor customer service. If I need technical assistance, they stay on the phone and work with me until the problem is fixed or until they’ve scheduled a repair person to come out and take a look. They are never condescending or argumentative. Every service person has been knowledgeable and professional. As for their services, nearly perfect! Internet is rarely down, and if it is, it’s not for long. Once it was down for most of a day, due to a winter accident of some sort; they credited me a partial return on my monthly bill. If you have to cut back on services due to finances, given time and as a valued customer they will offer you excellent deals to welcome you back. I have nothing but high praise for Shaw!
