Have had horrible experience with them throughout the years. Had an HP laptop with Geek squad Guarantee that was never honored despite the computer showing the«blue screen of death» at home, in store, at home after repair, at store again, and the history goes on. They just refused to replace the faulty part or the laptop despite all the evidence. Their phone line is never answered and as I am writing this, I called 23 times for information regarding an order I made and I received no response whatsoever. Why have a phone if you’re never going to answer it anyways? I would recommend browsing in the store for an idea and then just shopping online or price matching at the store if you have to. Otherwise, their prices are nowhere near competitive(especially after the shutdown of Future Shop)

When it comes to electronics I usually do my shopping online if I know what I’m looking for. Otherwise I go to best buy as they have a great return policy so that I can return it if I’m not fully satisfied.

Horrible customer service. Was looking through Boxing Week Sale Flyers and saw that Best Buy had a Sony laptop(that I’ve been looking at) on sale for $ 200 off… so I waited a few days(sale was until Jan 2, 2014). Went in on Dec. 29 to buy. Went into the store, found the model on display… found a sales rep. who then told me the item was«out of stock». I asked when they would be getting them or if another Best Buy had them in stock… he looked at me and said«you can go-on-line and find this out yourself. Do you see how busy it is here… you can check this yourself» and then walked away. I immediately left the store and went and bought the same product(for the same price) at Future Shop(Yonge and Carrville). I know these two companies are owned by the same parent company, but the level of service between the two is night and day. Due to this recent experience, I will never step foot in this particular Best Buy again.

Online they have the Skylander Giants Starter kits on sale for all systems. Went to the store, picked up the PS3 starter kit and it came up with the regular price. I showed them the online price, but since the code did not match they refused to give the sale price. Pictures were the same, description was the same. Everything was the same except the webID and SKU. Left, and walked into ToysRUs, down the street. They promptly gave me a price match and was able to buy it at the lower price. I also get Air Miles which is infinitely more useful than Best Buy Rewards. I don’t think I’ll ever buy anything here again. Service is bad, they should have matched their own web price regardless of SKU or WebID as the products match. Narrow minded sales and manager who came over. When I get my TV later I’m not going to BestBuy nor Futureshop(owned by Best Buy). I’ll take my business elsewhere.

I came here recently both during the boxing month(it felt like a month long event) event and to return an item. I have to say that they have become more like future shop, with service been pretty bad. I have given them an extra star with the mind set that this was during boxing month so I’m sure that they were swamped. To summarize, my experience was good in that the sales rep in the cell section was amazing. She went out of her way to make sure that even the package I picked up was aesthetic(not damage) and went to get me a new one. But this was balance out by the cashier who gave me some attitude when the pricing of one of my items was not the price at the stand where I picked it up. They finally called a guy off the floor who looked bewildered, and he proceed to run to the stand and come back to confirm it was the correct price and that I was wrong. Since the transaction had gone through they won’t refund me on the spot and redirected me to another line, which literally ran across the store. Understand that it was boxing month so returns happen, but dang, why couldn’t you do it at the till for me? I think i’ve found my measure of how good a best buy is… how they operate their returns line…
