This is the worst karaōke place I have ever been to for a few reasons. 1. Management problem: when we arrived at 7:40pm, the front desk girl told us the happy hour is until 9pm and after that the minimum consumption will be $ 200 for the night. We decided to take the happy hour deal and only sing for 1hr and 20mins. However, at 8:50pm, another girl came in and kicked us out and her reason was that the happy hour ends at 8. 2. Facility problem: when we entered the room, there were 2 mics and one of them didn’t work. We gave it to the front desk girl and expected her to fix it. After 30mins, I asked for the mic, but the girl said she couldn’t fix it because she didn’t know how to. She told me if I wanted that mic to work, I would have to wait for their manager to show up. So we sang with one mic the entire time. Another facility problem is that while we were singing in our room, the voice from other rooms jumped in. In other words, while you are singing a song, another voice singing another song will suddenly appears and your voice goes mute. It happened more than 5 times in our less-than-1.5hr «happy hour» time. Also, there was no remote, at least for our room when we were there. 3. Customer service problem: despite I reflected the voice jumping problem to the front desk girl, she honestly didn’t give a sh*t. No apologies nor did she attempt to fix the situation. Relating back to the microphone problem, she didn’t apologize about not being able to fix the microphone, nor did she try to replace it with another one. She just don’t give a sh*t. 4. Collection problem: if you only sing English songs, you can just sit back and watch other people. Because they don’t have recent English songs at all. When I say ‘recent’, I mean songs that are published within 1 year. If you like to sing classic English songs from older times(for example, songs from Celine Dion, Mariah Carey), you can have a better time. However, I have to warn you, they don’t even have a proper classic collection, nor to mention their quality. 5. Price problem: forget about what time the happy hour actually ends, because I still don’t know the answer. But one thing I know is that it starts at 3. It’s supposed to last 5(or 6) hours and we didn’t get to use even half of it. However, we do understand that we came in late so we accepted paying full price with no complaints. But that’s not the only thing on the bill. There are mandatory 10% service fee added to it. Honestly, we don’t think we were served at all. 6. Food problem: not sure about the snacks or other appetites, but all I can say is that the drinks are awful. These are all the reasons I can think of right now. Good luck to the management for keeping the place running.

Sorry to say the first review is a bad one. Now, I’m from the US so I don’t know what the Canadian karaōke experience should be like — but it definitely shouldn’t include the TV’s glass screen protector panel falling off the flat-screen TV!!! Unbelievable! We didn’t get an apology or anything!!! We got a «VIP discount» of 15% but we’re pretty sure it was just their promotion because it was the grand opening — the Asian flower arrangement gift things were still outside. 15% for something that could’ve injured somebody if it fell ONEFOOT closer. Luckily, nobody was sitting near the touch-screen monitor, picking songs or they’d have some major insurance issues. And because it wasn’t happy hour, there’s a flat rate of $ 120 for 4 people. Because we spent over $ 100, they gave us a small complimentary fruit plate. But the fruit was dry and they only had oranges, melons, and bruising grapes. Also, the songs are weird — as in they have some new songs but they don’t have more popular ones. We couldn’t even find Taylor Swift! And the monitor is all in Simplified Chinese. Joy. SO if you can’t read Simplified Chinese and you don’t want SUCKY customer service, then don’t go here for karaōke. **this review is for Global KTV
