Sobeys

Great 24 hour location and very close to where I live. I personally really enjoy the shopping experience there as the store is very clean and has a great selection of food available. The staff in each section is generally very helpful and will walk you to the aisle to find what you need. My experiences at floral and bakery definitely stood out as they helped me pick out, decorate and wrap both my bouquet and cake to my liking.
The only drawback is that checkout can be slow at times as there is often only 1 or 2 cashiers available. They also have a self checkout, however I would avoid using it if you have a lot of items that do not have barcodes such as produce. Also don’t forget to bring your own bags as they do still charge for plastic bags.

This is the sobey’s closest to my house, so I go here every once in a while when I’m looking for some high end products.
Pros:
1. Open 24 HOURS!
2. High end items
3. Love the sobeys points programs
4. Cheap bakery goods in the night!
Cons:
1. The fresh food isnt that great. I once got a sandwich and I’m pretty sure I got sick from here.
2. They never seem to have cilantro in stock. like really? CILANTRO.
All in all, I like this place. But I shop more regularly at the No Frills!

Despite being a 24 hour grocery store, I do have to admit there is one flaw. Whenever I have to get assistance, I’ve always received a non helpful answer. To which I have to end up asking the customer counter for help.
