Scones are very good but their food is about 3⁄10. Their sandwiches are made off premise so don’t rely on the menu. The have what they have ordered from their central kitchen and if they run out, there’s no option for them to make a sandwich.

It is rare for me to want to eat baked goods, so this morning I had a sudden craving for bakery yumminess. I went to Crème de la Crumb expecting more baked goods than they had displayed. Maybe my timing was off? It was 8:30AM, not sure what type they open and I appreciate the freshness that comes with them baking the goods during business hours. However, maybe consider baking some of the items before they open for the public to provide more selection? Either way, I have been craving for a cheese scone, to my surprise they didn’t have a simple cheese scone and I did not feel like walking to the other café for it. So I settled for the apple cheddar scone, it was actually good… she also gave me a banana lemon loaf(I didn’t ask for it but felt obligated as she put it in the little paper bag when I was just talking about it to my coworker) I haven’t had that yet so I can’t review the loaf The scone however was delicious, still warm and I loved that aspect of it. She was making berry scones, which I would have loved to have vs. the apple cheddar scone, but maybe next time!

Delicious scones that are freshly baked every day. Amazing! There are also countless other wonderfully baked goods(like their loafs) that will sufficiently fulfill that stomach gnawing, sweet tooth of a craving that you are having. Their breakfast burrito is also not too bad either. Though overall pricing for their food does seem a bit on the high side considering the variety and quanity that you can get by just walking an extra 5 minutes the nearby cafeteria located in the McKesson building on Shell and Cambie. I’m also a big fan of their coffee as it is decently bold without being too acidic. However, I have noticed that depending on who makes the coffee, it can be a bit off in terms of quality. In my opinion, the meals at this location are pretty generic and not overly impressive, however if you are looking for a quick coffee break with a little snack, come here. You won’t be disappointed. If you are looking for decent meal, check out some of the other restaurants or the near by cafeteria.

Crème is very centrally located in the Airport plaza. When it opened up, I was pretty excited. I’ve been working in the plaza for over 4 years and have seen a few places come and go at the same spot. Back to crème, I like their selection and price point. They cater to the«healthy» audience as well as the«tasty» clientele. I’ve tasted the whole menu and love their breakfast sandwich for lunch! I think, the wraps lack some meat but at the end of the day, the convience and the price beats that. Easy take out and friendly staff!

I always wanted to try the famous vanilla and pear scone from Crème de la Crumb in Downtown Vancouver but it only opened on the weekdays. Lucky, there was one hidden far away on the other side of Richmond. When I walked in, the place was clean and the service was friendly. I wished they had more signs showing where their store was. I ordered the vanilla pear scone which was $ 2.85 but when tax was added it was $ 3 Automatically, I saw many specks of vanilla which means they use real vanilla pods. One point for that. I bit into the scone and it was crunchy on the outside but very moist on the inside. There were little small chunks of pear which also shows they use real ingredients when making their scones. The other bake goods on display were not very appealing. Overall my breakfast was okay, their drinks menu consist of coffees, teas and other beverages that are reasonable priced. Next time I will try their latte or London Fog. Now that I had a taste of their scones, I am excited to try the scones from the same store but in DT.

I’ve always wanted to visit this Richmond location, but I work on the other side of town, and rarely make it out here. Today, I got the chance to finally try Crème de la Crumb. Located within a primarily industrial office area, there’s a couple of designated parking spots right outside. The space is exactly as I’d imagined. A clean, and simple café, with a glass case featuring all the baked goods. There’s a couple of small tables by the floor to wall windows. Upon some contemplation, I got a cheddar and apple scone, and a latte. As my latte was being made, I noticed they had lavender syrup, so I inquired if I could still add it. The responses was a swift, «Ok!» I love lavender lattes. I heated up the scone when I got back to my office. The scone was delcious. Not too much cheddar, and lots of fresh apple chunks, within a light and fluffy biscuit. If this place was any closer, I’m sure I’d stop by a couple a times per week, for the fresh baked scones and try out their lunch selection!

Coming here with the Work Team, I ordered a 3-item combo with Cheese Perogies, Tomato Penne, and Meatloaf. At first glance, this is kind of similar to how Chinese fast food places give you a set price to choose 3 items from, and this isn’t too far from the truth. The food is prepared in the kitchen, but nothing tasted like it was specially made. Take for example the Penne. Are they cooking 50 grams of this pasta at a time, or scooping out cooked penne from a giant heated vat, or worse, are they taking containers of frozen product and microwaving it? The kitchen is very hidden from view so I’m not too sure, but the feeling isn’t good. The sauce on my meatloaf wasn’t very fresh tasting either. It seemed that it could have been some product that sits out in the open for a long time, coagulates a bit, and then gets smothered onto the meatloaf with mysterious origins. I don’t think the baked goods go through the same process, but the savoury items leave a lot of mystery in the air as to why they don’t taste any better than a fast food canteen.

My favourite place in richmond to get a cinnamon bun! Once the location of the«Peach Tree» restaurant, Crème offers a variety of baked goods and sandwiches. I’ve heard their coffee is great but I’m more of a fresh juice kind of guy. Thankfully they have a variety of beverages to cater to ones taste.

I’m quite happy that Crème de la Crumb opened in Richmond since it’s now a lot closer to home and my family loves their scones! I recently got to try a few of their signature wraps and sandwiches and I was surprised that the veggie wrap was my favourite! I pretty much never order the vegetarian option on any menu(love meat!) but I decided to try it out since it was free for me, and it was delicious! The chipotle mayo and the tender sweet potatoes blended perfectly, and the fresh crunchy vegetables that were stuffed inside complemented the wrap very well. Overall, I feel that their baked goods and wraps are pretty solid and the quality is just as good as the location in downtown on Graville!

[Office Complex Café] I was excited when Crème de la Crumb opened up in the business park I work in. There’s a serious lack of nearby food options that won’t result in a post-lunch food coma — the most notables being IHOP, Denny’s, and McDonalds. Not great when you’ve got meetings afterwards. Crème occupies a decently-sized space with minimal seating. They clearly cater to a «to-go» clientele as expected given its location. I was in need of a quick bite and popped by one random Wednesday for lunch. I ended up with the shepherd’s pie and a mushroom soup for just under $ 10. I was worried I’d be hungry by 3pm but was pleasantly surprised at how hefty the pie was. It had a thick layer of mashed potatoes over a thin bed of ground beef and legumes. The mushroom soup was hearty and loaded with diced mushrooms and random spices. While the whole meal was good, it wasn’t great. Crème fills a work-time niche without much competition. It’s convenient for what it is but I wouldn’t go too far out of my way for it.

It was love at first sight. As soon as I saw the sign go up, I knew we would be friends forever. From their amazing staff, to their tasty(and strong!!!) coffee and their meatloaf(which I had never had before they opened), Crème de la Crumb is a very welcomed addition to this business park. Things you need to try: — their coffee(dark roast, or Americano get my strong recommendation) — Meatloaf(as in — MA the!!!) and mashed potatoes with gravy. This changed my world. — their soups — ANY of their scones. All are to die for. And the other thing that makes this place great — Chris and Claudine. Always welcoming and funny. I enjoy getting my morning coffee immensely because of those two(and the rest of their staff of course). Oh! And they also do catering. Trust me, and try the carrot cake.

I came here today for their grand opening. They were offering free small beverages all day. The staff was friendly but seemed to still be working things out. I had a berry tea and a vanilla and pear scone. I forgot to note the brand of tea they had, but I enjoyed it. It was warm and comforting given the cold weather outside. The vanilla and pear scone was delicious as well. The pear had retained a nice crispness and I loved the crumbly texture of the scone. Crème de la Crumb also offers a selection of soup, sandwiches, and salads as well as a nice selection of baked goodies. This café is located in a commercial office area with few dining options. Crème de la Crumb has the potential to fill the void and provide a delicious dining option for employees working in the area.
