I came to Aberdeen Mall to have tea with a girlfriend and we did some browsing in the mall. This was one of the stores that we visited. There is no real focus on this store simply ’cause there are different random items similar to a night market, just everything stuffed in cubes. The non focus can be discouraging, however, at the same time is intriguing. I came here just to browse for something unique which I did not find but loved the concept.

It’s fun dropping by and shop/buy something once in a while – always find something interesting. Not a bad business model, as it seems to be a good test market, make a few prototypes, and rent out space at a fraction of an actual retail store. as long as you don’t mind bugging the sales ppl to open up a few cubes. Plus it’s a sure bet that no one else would buy the same gift either ;) Located inside Aberdeen mall.

Like all my other fellow Unilocaler’s reviews, this is the place to go if your senses are in need of an explosion of stimulation to asian-inspired knick-knacks that range from star patterned contact lenses to cell phone purses to knit scarves to crystallized ear phones to hand-made keychains to japanese face creams to everything your girlie mind can think of. I always enjoy browsing through each cube window and soak in what each seller has to offer. Look carefully because they pack those cubes full of wonderful stuff. But beware to not fall in love too fast because I find a lot of their items are on the pricey side. Customer service is very poor though. I generally don’t even bother to ask the one girl behind the desk for help — but probably because I haven’t had the desire to buy anything that bad to bother her. Too bad for this store, I think if they had better service, they’d probably sell more stuff. Bottom-line, great place to go to see what’s trending in the asian scene or if you’re selling, to display your wonderful creations.

Do you want to sell something and want more than a web presence, but don’t want to rent/man a whole store? This may be for you: rent a clear cube here, design your display, and lock it. The staff on site will sell your item for you at the marked price, if anyone is interested. Located in an Asian mall, most showcubes are obviously for that kind of clientele. It used to be mostly glammy crystally jewelry and imported cosmetics and character goods. Now, iPhone cases and other smartphone accessories have caught up. I saw a cube where the guy didn’t actually have anything to sell, but was displaying his car-customizing portfolio and his phone number. Neat idea. As a consumer, it’s neat to be able to browse so many things(and comparison-shop) in a short time frame. I think I would try renting one if I was an Etsy-type craftsperson. I didn’t see many of those, though. Most of them were commercial goods.

I get that this store has a cool concept as well as cool things to look at, but the service is horrible. So horrible that the coolness of the concept doesn’t even matter anymore. I’ve been here twice and never have I been greeted, smiled at, or even acknowledged, even when I was one of the only people in the store. Whenever I ask politely for the lady at the desk to open one of the cubes for me, she almost drags her body out from behind her desk like I interrupted her oh-so-precious eating time or whatever else she was spending her time doing, reluctantly turns the key in the lock, and trudges back to her desk. I thank her for opening the cubes for me every time but not once did I get a «you’re welcome.» I purchased an iPhone 4S cover here and I do like it. The lady at the desk helped me put it on but that’s about the nicest thing she did. I guess this is an interesting place to visit, but seriously don’t expect any great service, if any at all. Save yourself the disappointment and forget all your manners when you walk in because you won’t be served with any either. Is there anywhere in Aberdeen with good service or are all the stores wrought with cheap Asian staff who just sit at their desks and click at their laptops? Seriously. Pros: cool concept and stuff Cons: terrible service Verdict: I guess I’ll come back just to browse, but the bad service really put me off and left a lasting horrible impression.

There are a lot of unique and trendy shops in and around Aberdeen mall. One in particular is Cube Inc. A concept i have never heard of before. A store with dozens of cubes big and small to Rent out by people wanting to sell their products. From stuffed animals and blinged out cell phone covers to hair extensions and shoes. the sky’s the limit. there is no hassling and no fuss here. and every item that Cube inc. sells, you get the profits with a little percentage taking off from the store. pretty fare i guess :) . whats also cool about this place is that u can find stuff here you would never expect to find. eg. animé booby mouse pad. get it? u rest your wrist on the… um… nevermind… moving on… they also got the angry birds plush toys so i had to buy them and stick them all over my car! «like a BOSS!!» Overall great concept. i absolutely love this store! check it out the next time you come down here, u just might find something you’ve been looking for… just not the mouse pad… i already HRRRMM bought it… K bye!

Not your average«mall» store! As Lorrie M. mentioned, this store has an awesome concept of selling a bunch of different things made or sold by a bunch of different people. It sort of reminds me of a Hong Kong or Taiwan night market but split into tiny little cubes and no annoying vendors eye-ing your every move and pressuring you to buy. Each«cube» is rented out by an individual or business and they showcase their items in that cube. Some items you’ll find here include jewelry, LOTS of cell phone accessories(tons of decoden!), color contacts, lip balms, hair accessories, stuffed animals and even cameras! The cubes change every now and then so it’s definitely a nice surprise to always be able to browse new things. Lots of items seem to come from Asia(pretty much a given…) Prices range from moderate to very expensive. Some cell phone cases cost almost $ 400!!! CRAZY. I saw a fuzzy minnie mouse one today that was honestly nothing too special and the price tag said $ 99.90!!! O. O I wonder if there are people out there who are actually willing to pay that much for an iPhone case… anyways… This is one of my favorite shops in Aberdeen, it’s always fun to browse and you never know, you might pick up something you didn’t expect to find that you really love.

I love this store, I think its probably the coolest concept I’ve seen in a while. Basically this store contains probably 100 different stores. If you have a business or just want to sell something like on eBay, you can come here and rent out a ‘cube’. The prices range from really expensive(i.e. lots of visibility) to the tiniest little space big enough for one small stuffed animal. You rent by the month and they always have specials. So basically you can start your own business and essentially have a ‘store front’. Customers come into this store and browse all the cubes and if they see something in a cube that they like, they can purchase it right there at the store. You receive the profits after whatever commissions Cube, Inc. takes from your sale. It’s an awesome idea that I think would allow many business owners to sell random things that they would like the public to buy without investing heavily in an actual store front!
