This is where you go in the summer for a Screamer(Ice Cream and Slurpee mix). I don’t much fancy slurpees, but screamers are a whole different ballgame. They also have some pizza and other hot food if you are in rush! They have been around for decades in Richmond, and you can see why once you try!

If you’ve never had a Screamer before, listen to me carefully… GETYOURBEHINDTODANNY’S MARKET! Sorry for screaming but you have to try one of these in your lifetime! Of all the times I’ve been here, I’ve had good and friendly service. The shop is very spacious and there are hot foods like butter chicken, pizza and sandwiches you can purchase and also cold drinks and snacks. But I’ve only ever tried their Screamers here… This delightful swirl marriages the sweet and creamy taste of soft serve ice cream with the icy, sweet or tart choice of your favourite slurpee flavour! Some classics are Root Beer or Coke slurpee with soft serve which gives the vintage taste of a root beer or coke float, and Crush Orange with soft serve is like a summer memory of a creamsicle. Otherwise you can play with your tastebuds and mix your soft serve with either Watermelon or Lime or Blue Raspberry or many of flavours available. A small is pretty filling with all the soft serve ice cream and slurpee, which costs about $ 4.29! Overall, it’s a unique and must-slurp summertime drink!

A Richmond staple. It’s a small little convenience store that offers sandwiches, pizzas, samosas and most importantly a screamers(soft serve with slushee). I didn’t eat the food, but looks typical and basic frozen food affair. I’d be curious about the samosas. Screamers come in 3 sizes, but I think the guy only really offered medium and large to me. 3 of those run your for $ 15 flat. Flavours range from soda to caffeine flavours(that costs more). Soft serve was sweet and the slushee part was decent. Try it. I think it’s good but nostalgia ups the hype of this thing.

Don’t come here go to macs or steveston screamers scam business. Well, First of all the worst place I have encountered in my entire life. I came to richmond for vacation from Toronto. I had come with my wife and two children. Their was this one specific employee with a huge beard. I asked the man his name and he replied Zain! I ordered this screamer drink and these guys are frauds they didn’t create this drink my server gave me a wrong screamer. Worst of all I’m a vegetarian of 30 years and asked for a veggie samosa the man gave me a meat samosa I threw up after taking my first bite. these people are thieves it’s family run business and these guys suck! you want a screamer go to macs convinient store save your money! Dannys you guys are discusting.

Screamers. Soft serve plus slurpee. It’s about $ 5.79 for a large and a bit more if you want to have the slurpee layered in between the soft serve. The guy at the till will always try to upsell you. The soft serve itself is not as good as like Soft Peaks, but if you’re more into quantity over quality and don’t care about the fixings and toppings, this is the place for your soft serve.

Cute little Grocery store in the residential district of Francis Road. They do delivery which is awesome and it is one of the best one stop shops which is perfect for the large residential area. Lots of variety, great staff and decent food. Not the best, however, decent.

I actually visited Danny’s two years and after having a conversation with pals about terrible service we have received in the past, I felt compelled to write a review about the Danny’s. Overpriced and rude staff

They guy behind the counter here seemed nice. I will Definately come back for a screamer. Reading the review it sounds like that’s what they’re known for. I had a sandwich and it was normal and worthy of not a star more than 3. When I come back and try a screamer I’ll re post a new review

Slurpee + soft ice cream = Screamer! When you enter the store, you will millions of food selections(at some point, I recall they even had All You Can Eat) — don’t worry about them! They are just display! Danny’s is all about the screamers! I agree with some of the reviews indicating some shady accounting practice! Other than that, this is one of my favorite places to kick back with my younger cousin!

Every now and then, I do crave for a screamer. It’s basically a slurpee with extremely thick vanilla ice cream at the bottom and top of the cup. If you haven’t tried it, you are missing out! This stuff is amazing and comes in several different flavours(my fav would be orange crush or root beer) Anyways, a «small» costs about $ 4.00 but it’s massive and can be shared between 2 – 3 people. Highly recommended!

«What?! You’ve never had a screamer?!» Somehow I’d never gotten around to going to Danny’s Market until now despite the fact that both the elementary and high schools I attended were about a 15 minute walk away. I’d never heard of a screamer until I read about them in an article about Danny’s Market in a local Richmond newspaper a few years ago. A friend had raved about them as well. When I finally got to Danny’s Market, I was excited to try a screamer. I would have liked to have a root beer screamer, but it didn’t look frozen enough. Instead, I opted for an orange slush screamer. I wanted to love the screamer… I really did. But alas, I thought it was just OK. The soft serve was marvelously soft. Unfortunately, I was expecting the screamer to taste like an orange creamsicle but neither the slush nor the soft serve had enough flavour for me to make that comparison. I’ll write an update if I get the chance to come back for a root beer screamer(hopefully with better results). With Danny’s Market up for sale , the future is uncertain, so get your screamers while you can.

When a business can deliver pizza, indian food, junk food like chocolate bars, chips & pop, plus these screamer/slurpees, it’s got to be a 4 star lol… but only in Richmond, any time, any day so next time when you’re at the movies or before/after a hockey game, then Danny’s is the way to go. It’s a good-size convenience store, 7⁄11 in some ways, yet got a cute sofa there too so guess one could relax lol. free parking of course.

SCREAMINGFORSCREAMERS! If you’re looking for something different than the usual slurpee, then you should try this place out. Danny’s market sells this good concoction of slurpee with soft serve ice cream. I usually get mine with the almond rocca slurpee then add the soft serve vanilla ice cream in it. Screamers are usually less than $ 5 … well worth it. Sizes of the cups do vary, but I would stick with the smaller size since this treat can get pretty heavy and sweet. Regardless, it’s a yummy combination. Props to «Danny» for inviting this delicious treat.

S C R E A M E R S! Back in the good ol’ days when I was 15(okay maybe not so long ago, as that was only 5 years ago ;P) me and my friends would walk here, and indulge in this highly caloric, but equally delicious treat. If you ask Richmondites, I’m fairly certain a large percentage of them know about this little market on the corner, and what it’s specialty is. :) Oh sorry if you don’t know what a screamer is, I ain’t telling you. ;)

I’ve eaten here a couple of times, but only because they pride themselves on the wide variety of food they offer. Both times I went I had a slice of pizza, a samosa, and a screamer. In both cases, the pizza was stale with a lack of toppings, and the samosa was super greasy. However, the screamer was great. BUT, I have a chip on my shoulder because they guys claim they are the creators of the Screamer. They’re not and I think it’s unfair that they claim they are. Perhaps that’s why they removed the big blue sign that says«Home of the screamer». It’s about time someone made them take that down.

The original inventors of the SCREAMER.(Or so I believe.) Screamers are like a parfait, layers of slurpee sandwiched in between soft serve ice cream. These are sentimental because this Danny’s corner store is literally, right around the corner from my house. Back in my young and innocent years, on a hot Summer day, my friends and I would ride our cute pink bikes and make a trip to Danny’s market. Here, it’s the the usual corner store, candy, slurpees, snacks, pop. and now they also have pizza. I have yet to try those, but throughout all these years, the Screamers have served me well. This is a cheap sweet treat that hits the spot. They have several flavours of slurpee-nothing like the selection at Mac’s. Coke, cream soda, orange soda are always available. Recently, they’ve added another machine, and have more ‘adult’ flavours– mocha, french vanilla. There’s the choice of different sizes, as well as ‘doubling up’ on the soft serve. My favourite has got to be the orange Screamer. Orange soda slurpee with thick creamy soft serve, all in one cup. This is like a orange Creamsicle, but drinkable. Try it at least once, and you won’t be disappointed!

I’ve had screamers before but never heard of any place in the GVRD that sold it. Then a miracle was discovered: Danny’s. For those of you who don’t know what a screamer, it’s simple. It’s a slushee mixed with(in Danny’s case) freshly made soft serve ice cream. On a hot summer day, you wanna get over here and grab one. Or heck, even on a cooler day, go grab one. A little brain freeze won’t kill ya.

EVERYONE in Richmond knows this little corner store market for one thing and one thing only. SCREAMERS! If you don’t know what one is, you’re going to have to go and find out. That’s pretty much their biggest seller here. Go now. It’s tasty and delicious. I promise!
