Just purchased a bunch of furniture there. So far so good. Awaiting delivery. Only downfall is they have no problem up selling you on fabrics etc. However their ancient computer system doesnt break the add ons down so you can see exactly what your paying for!!!

I purchased a coffee table from EA. It is magnificent! It is also pricey, but I knew that before I headed to their store. I dealt with Heather and she was competent and helpful throughout. The delivery guys (there were 3 of them!) were gracious and efficient. I love my new table. I have previously purchased (in Toronto) the Elise bed and it is also amazing. I even paid to have it shipped to my new home in Vancouver because I couldn’t let it go. There stuff is lovely. If you’re made of money, go for it. If you’re like me and most people who shop here, save up and buy a couple of items that make you smile when you look at them.

So, I bought something else from them after hearing their service had changed. Yes indeed it has changed.
When you place the order over the phone the store agents actually sounds nice and knowledgeable.
The delivery people are a little less rude. Even though they are the same ones from before.
I still feel that their service could be better.
There furniture quality is still a five star in my books.

Ethan Allen won us over by its beautiful and quality products and the ability for customization. Even though their furniture is a little bit on the pricy side, we were willing to pay for the design and quality.
The reason why i only gave 2 stars was because their level of service. My wife and I went there to buy a bed for our new home which we will be moving in after our wedding. We placed our order more than 2 months before the wedding. The sale/​designer told us that the bed will be ready before the wedding no problem. But the bed was not delivered. We slept on the floor for almost another 2 months after the wedding.
We tried calling the store asking about it but every time we got the same excuse «its on the truck, should be here soon». It wasn’t bad attitude, just very sales like.
Really? more than 4 months to deliver a bed?! Only then we did a research and found that Ethan Allen is well known for being late. We almost going to cancel the order and just get something quick from Ikea.
Unless i want to buy something that i don’t mind waiting half year for, i probably won’t be going back.
