Gilmore Gardens

In January of 2014, our Mother was not doing well. She had a back issue and was trying to manage her medications, but she was getting quite forgetful and taking medications early and out of sequence which affected her ability to cope.
My Sister and I discussed the situation with the Home Care Worker and decided to ask Mom to check out Gilmore Gardens. She agreed to a trial visit for 3 nights. After 2 nights, my mom, sister, her husband, my husband and myself all agreed this was the best move for her and we decided to move her into Gilmore Gardens.
She has settled in extremely well!!! She is socialising more, walking more, eating better, and has made some great new friends. She is enjoying the great food and the many entertainment options, especially when people come in and play the Baby Grand Piano. The staff at Gilmore Gardens is first class!!! They are always considerate, patient and helpful. The kitchen staff always ensure her food allergies are accommodated.
The bottom line is that, in January, we thought our mother had weeks left to live. Since she moved to Gilmore Gardens she has a new lease on life and is doing extremely well and we believe we she has years left which makes us all very happy.

This is an assisted living home for independent seniors.
The food can be hit or miss so mostly when I visit my family we opt to go out for dinner.
Staff fully clean then tenant’s rooms once a week and all common areas are really neat and tidy.
