I had the most wonderful facial with Caroline! She was very knowledgeable and fun to talk to. Her skin is flawless so I really trust her with mine. I loved the product combination she chose to use on my skin. She also recommended a really good exfoliating powder by GM Collins that I purchased and I am still enjoying using every other day. I can’t wait to try new products with that line. I am also in love with the Yonka products that she uses. I am definitely visiting her at her new location located inside of Crest & Crown! Thank you Caroline!

Angel hands!!! Caroline performed a soothing underarm waxing session. No double dipping. Warm, comfortable wax. Before you know it, you are smooth as silk. It was almost painless. She also recommended regular exfoliation to minimize ingrown hair. I am looking forward to my next appointment when my hair is long enough for another treatment, haha. As other Unilocalers noted, La Cachette Spa is located inside Ego Hair Salon. When I called, Caroline was so professional. She gave great directions — across the street from the former Target store side of Lansdowne Mall.

Caroline is SO good at her job. I went to her because of the amazing reviews and now I see how she has them! This was my first time visiting for a Brazilian, and I will be back. you definitely gained a happy, repeat customer. Thank you!

Excellent experience. I chose La Cachette because I wanted hard waxing on my eyebrows without having to drive downtown or to Kits(or pay higher price for downtown/yaletown salons). Caroline did an excellent job, and I definetly plan on going back! The spa was clean, and had a relaxing spa-like décor. Caroline was friendly and professional and didn’t over wax or make them too thin. The hard wax hurts much less than strip/soft waxing and hurts even less than threading in my opinion. You get your eyebrows done laying on a relaxing massage table, not just sitting in a chair like some other salons. Being able to book my appointment online with confirmation email was also a bonus. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because I wanted to wait until my second visit to check for consistency. La Cachette is located inside Richmond Towers(across the street from Target in Landsdown mall in case you can’t find it like me).

Caroline gives the best facials! I always come out of it feeling very relaxed. She’ll address your skin concerns and recommends the type of facial you need and products. Her space is beautiful. It’s a very relaxing atmosphere. Definitely great place to get pampered.

La Cachette Spa is a little spa oasis within Ego Hair Salon conveniently located across the street from Lansdowne Mall. Caroline, the esthetician, studied at Blanche Macdonald and is very knowledgeable and passionate about skin care and waxing. I usually get my waxing done in Vancouver as there are more reviews about salons in Vancouver than in Richmond. After reading some of the Unilocal reviews for La Cachette Spa, I decided to give them a try. Most salons and spas only offer soft or strip wax, but Caroline uses a combination of both. Hard wax is used on more sensitive areas such as the face, underarm, and bikini area, and strip wax is used on arms, legs, and other larger areas. She also doesn’t double dip. Caroline was very friendly and made my appointment as comfortable and painless as possible. The pricing for waxing is reasonable plus it’s currently an additional 10% off on Wednesdays. It’s nice to finally find a good salon for waxing in Richmond.

3rd visit — Quality very consistent. Caroline was so considerate and kept in mind everything I’ve mentioned to her. I’ve referred my sister and got a referral discount. My sister loves it so far! Please read my previous reviews for all the reasons why I’m giving this place 5 stars!

I booked my first appointment with La Cachette because of their January special: 1 hour massage with a 20 minute tarot card reading. Yes, yes, thank you. Back off from the tarot card mocking. If you’re not a tarot card person(it was my first reading and it helped me make some decisions I was teetering on), you need to go just for the massage. Goddamn. Seriously, goddamn. The bed was warm and there were some parts of the massage that hurt like a sonofabitch but Dennis worked out all the weird kinks in my calves and the continuous kinks in my neck. Thanks, office job! I love you but my neck and shoulders don’t love you! It was such a friendly atmosphere, and it’s perfect because it’s where I go to get my hair cut. Also, they have specials for during the week(Waxing Wednesday, Massage Monday, you get what I’m saying). The best part? They use hard wax for bikini/Brazilian waxes. This means I don’t have to make my bi-monthly trek to Yaletown for intimate grooming! For those who are wax newbies, I’ve been waxing since I was 16. I’ve noticed a huge difference with the change to hard wax. Definite recommend.

Found this spa on a groupon deal, and wouldn’t have gone or even known about it if hadn’t bought the groupon. It is tucked away inside a hair salon, that’s it’s right across the street from Lansdowne mall so easy access. I went there a second time because they had some January specials, and I got a facial almost half price. Caroline, the owner who did my facial was so professional and friendly, she makes you feel like you are her star client. There are always specials on their website so check it out. In a city where there are a dime a dozen spas, this one stands out and should be noted for it’s great service and treatments.

This spa is located inside of Richard Ego Hair Salon in Richmond, right across from Lansdowne Centre(south side). There should really be a sign for this place! I only knew it was inside the salon because I had done some online research beforehand. I had a Social Shopper voucher for a 50 minute reflexology foot massage and 30 minute introductory facial. First of all, everyone in the salon and spa is super friendly! Maybe I caught them all on a good day but there were smiles all around. The spa atmosphere was lovely, dimly lit and cozy looking. The only thing I didn’t like about the setting was that the reflexology massage was given in lounge chairs that were out in the open(meaning, weren’t in private massage rooms). Reflexology doesn’t require any clothing removal but it was slightly distracting because you could hear the blow dryers and chatter in the hair salon and occasionally the other staff members would walk by. Dennis is the masseuse who does the reflexology massages here, as well as many other massages that incorporate Asian techniques and philosophy. The massage was great; not painful at all(I always hear some people complaining about how reflexology hurts) and very soothing. It started with a short neck and shoulder massage while I soaked my feet in warm water and ended with my feet cocooned in hot towels. I really like the massage cream he used; most massage places still use gel/oil which creates less friction and therefore, less heat. I thought one of the reasons it felt so nice was that there was always warmth. My facial with Caroline(who is one of the friendliest people you will ever meet) was short but sweet. She did an analysis of my skin after reading my self-report. What was nice about this facial was that it included cleansing and moisturizing of the neck/collarbone area as well as the face. She also wore gloves the entire time which is a nice hygienic touch. What I loved most about Caroline was that she didn’t try to push the products; she addressed my skin concerns with remedies that had nothing to do with buying tons of product. Although I really did enjoy the line she used(YonKa) which uses blends of essential oils. They just smelled so good and natural! The only downside was that the room was a bit chilly(the other facials/massages I’ve had were in a heated massage bed). They do do monthly specials so I’m going to splurge on another massage soon! Can’t wait to try the other massages!
