I always remember passing by here and I am wondering why is there even a McDonalds here. Not only that, it was one of the locations where it is so tricky to even enter in. Going on, the service was somewhat decent only until one of the staff members dropped a patty on the floor. Even if the 5 second rule applied, I would not have accepted the burger. However, they put the burger back in and I was shocked by it. I went to talk about the manager about it and she was apologetic about it. Thankfully, she was willing to give a new burger for free, but man… that poor burger patty :(

Yikes. We all hate to admit we may like anything about McDonalds, but at least some of us do. I’ll make an exception for this place. Nobody wears proper uniforms. If I were that bad, I wouldn’t wear a name tag either. I actually feel for the staff — as they’re poorly trained. Line-ups never end, and move far too slowly. The dining area suffers from a steady state of filthiness. «Acceptable food» seems more accidental than the rule. Nothing here could be described as the«McDonalds experience» some of us want to enjoy.

This McDonald’s location is a bit tricky as it doesn’t face the exterior of Richmond Centre. In other words, you can only come here during mall hours. Parking is plentiful as the Richmond Centre lot is nice and huge. The seating is located inside the mall itself. While there aren’t that many tables, you’re probably going to eat while you walk around anyways. The counter is actually not that large at all, so I can imagine that crowds would form during busier times. The staff were quite friendly, and the ice cream was tasty. What more can I say.

Wow. So I’m reviewing McDonalds now??? Yup. But more specifically McCafe(i feel like a douche just saying that in my head). I was in Richmond for a 2-day work meeting with nary a barrista in sight. We weren’t in Kansas anymore. Someone suggested McDs to which I actually think one of my colleagues dry-heaved a bit. I too am a bit of a coffee snob but you know, I had never tried it so agreed to check it out. I ordered an americano. Not too surprising… it tasted like poo. Then of course there is the lack of milk/sugar control. One(and there are many) of the reasons why I hate Tim Hortons… I need coffee control people! Wouldn’t it just be easier to put milk and sugar out instead of you adding a bit… asking me if it’s ok, then having to go back to add more? Anyway, it was pretty horrible, but at least it was cheap… unlike the $ 3.50 I paid for a freakin tea bag at the hotel. Ugh. Why don’t we have meetings in Hawaii???

Busy, busy, busy Mcdonald’s spot but the service is efficient and you’ll have your food in no time. Since they are usually busy, I find their food is made fresh. I love right-out-of-the-fryer fries! There is some seating in this tiny spot as well — with a bathroom too.
