Pioneer Ergonomics is also known as «Union Ergonomics.» I had a ‘frozen shoulder,’ hence I went there for physiotherapy. I was treated by Remi Adejumo an excellent hard working physiotherapist. However, I hate their business ethics. They advertise that «It costs you nothing,» hence people go over there for treatment. Yes, it costs you nothing, because your health insurance company pays them! In my case it is Sunlife Insurance. Because of my shoulder problem they recommended a battery operated tens unit to take care of my shoulder pain. I got a form signed from my family doctor and got the tens unit from them. Since the tens unit was covered by my insurance company I paid nothing right away. However, when I checked the tens unit model on the internet its value was just $ 60 and only $ 20 on a special price elsewhere! I was shocked to learn that they had claimed $ 400 from Sunlife! When I complained they said that they charge a «clinical price!» There was another appointment setup to show me how to use the machine. Another session of ripoff because anyone can read the instructions and use it. Later I discovered that they had bought tens units in large quantity at wholesale price and they were selling it to patients at over 6 times the retail price!
These guys will charge you nothing in the beginning. However, they will charge you the maximum possible after finding out from your insurance company. They make you sign an agreement in the beginning, hence you can do nothing to stop them from ripping you off
