This review is targeted mainly towards the babyrus section as it’s the only section I’ve visited recently. I haven’t shopped for toys in ages. The store itself is really overwhelming, there’s toys absolutely everywhere! The baby section has pretty limited selections. I wish they had more items but the service placed in that area is awesome(well my experience the 3 – 4 times that I’ve been). And again, the baby deparment specifically. I would go back. I mean, it’s the closest baby store I’ve got unless I’d rather go to Target

Tough Unilocalers out here, right to a certain extent but guess I don’t expect much when it comes to these big-box store in terms of customer service. At least there are workers to be seen, as the Bay’s even worse lol. But i digress… i like this location b/c one it’s free parking, compared to West Broadway and its rush hr parking restrictions, and two, convenient when you’re visiting Lansdowne anyways. It’s got everything!

Out of all the Toys are us, this one is pathetic. This one is very under attended, a mess at times, the staff are very unhelpful and their current stock seems to be lagging behind. This is the first time I walked into a Toy store, which is supposed to make one happy, angry. I walked out there having purchased nothing… a first. I gave up after finding no help for 20 minutes.

Shopping at the other big Toys R Us in the city, I know what to expect when I go to these places, big, in your face, toys galore type supermarkets. When I come to this one, I don’t know if it is the size, location, or the staff here, something is just dizzying and wrong. Coming in here on Sunday just looking in their ‘Babies R Us’ isle was just a difficult experience. Was going to the back isle, and just couldn’t locate particular items for an upcoming baby shower. It was like going in circles, and this store doesn’t have much help in people working, so good luck on finding things yourself. One ‘low-light’ of our shopping experience was standing in front of the customer service, and I don’t know if the female working there was just not aware, or made an effort to just get off work to go on her break, cause we were waiting right behind the people she was helping(which was taking forever!), and once she was done with them, we wanted to open our mouths, and she just walks out of her inclosed area, and off to the back, like a rat looking for the closest hole to escape from being detected! WTF? I’m trying to ask a question and buy a gift card, does it have to be this hard? The store is small, with many things out of order here, it honestly does feel like a kids room, more than a toy store at times, where everything is misplaced, and you may have to watch out what you might be stepping on. Other things that don’t help are some of the clientele here, leaving half filled coffee cups near toys is not considered disposing of it! But if your looking for a toy store in Richmond, this is still the place to go.

I find myself coming into this store with no need to, but I guess it’s the kid in me that wants to keep up with the toy industry. Like J H. stated in his review, this store is packed with everything… Electronic readers, barbies, skateboards, plush toys, board games, video games, sports equipment, bikes, balls, legos, etc… and not to forget, baby stuff — strollers, rocking chairs, clothes, etc. This place doesn’t seem as magical as I remembered it as a child. Maybe that’s due to the absent minded staff that walk past you with sullen stares and the messy floors scattered with toys. Regardless, if you’re a patient shopper, I’m sure you’ll find what you need. And I love those self-barcode scanners that tell you the current price of an item.

What a nightmare! This place is crammed packed to the hilt. To top it off they have a Babies R Us shoved in the corner with a very poor selection in baby essentials. The place seems and in fact is disorganized, messy, cluttered and nonsensical. The employees are a bunch of teenagers who could care less about customer service and don’t seem to know neither where things are. Looking for something or someone for help? Two words… good luck!!! You’re better off on your own with a few hours to spare to search through every aisle.
