This is for the location in the domestic section of the airport in Vancouver. The location is very large and has a handful of TVs located throughout the restaurant if you are looking to watch a game. Getting to the food, we tried the fish n chips with poutine and coleslaw(all elements of dish worked well together with different textures and the cod had a great batter coat) and the asian noodle salad(served with chicken that was fresh and good). Overall, service was quick and friendly(in and out in 40 mins) and the prices were fair for what we ordered. This is a good spot if you are looking to grab a bit before leaving town or the airport. Buon appetito.

I have a soft spot for White Spot at the airport; it is the only place where you will Have real food, fast with decent service. Food court foods sit under a Light it are greasy and post security has only one sit down restaurant with a somewhat decent menu that takes forever to serve. Being on a restricted food regimen for a few days, I ordered a pick your own greens salad with no dressing, and the chicken breast grilled dry with no oils. Typically, at other restaurants, This is a big deal but the waiter here was quick to understand my regimen and about ten minutes and a soda water later, there came the salad. It was great and on point. Their menu is solid and service is fast; definitely worth the visit while at YVR’s pre-security departures level.

This is the Vancouver Airport local. It was decent food at a decent price. Place was pretty quiet so the the bartender/waiter«John» provided good service. Not much to complain about except the fries weren’t that tasty. I’d redo in a pinch!

First, you can’t go wrong with a Pirate Pak if you’re traveling with kids! You can even get one with greens instead of fries. Second, they make a marvelous turkey club(and I take my club sandwiches very seriously). This location also offers a nice place to sit, and because it’s located outside security, you can even come here if you’re not flying.

Had the bacon beet burger and it was tasty. Prices are reasonable($ 13.99 burger including a side) for the airport. Nothing too special but I was pleasantly surprised.

Legendary burger for the plane to go = yes please. Same great prices. They did look at me funny when I asked for a pirate pack. I should’ve told them my kid was waiting in the terminal. Oh well. Service was a bit slow, however, we had time to kill but if this was cutting it close by an hour I would’ve been pissed. They should take a little more consideration that being located inside an airport that they need to be aware of service time management.

They are quick to bring out the food and the servers are friendly. Prices are fair and it will be the only place in YVR you will get a real breakfast. The breakfasts that I’ve had here have been great so far. Really recommend Nat’s Hearty Breakfast which comes with 2 eggs, 2 sausage links, 2 potato servings, bacon strips and 2 buttermilk pancakes(can be substituted with bread or french toast). Ask for extra syrup and don’t forget the ketchup! Yummmm!

I almost always eat here when at YVR and 90% of the time it’s for breakfast. Today, I dropped off my fiancée and we had our usual Spot breakfast. She had the Steelhead Benny and I had the regular Benny. Their food, at least at this one is very consistent and always good. I’ve really grown to like the smashbrowns. They excellent for mopping up the hollandaise sauce from the bennies. Service was adequate enough I suppose although our waitress never checked up on us once between food being served and being done eating. PS. If you have time constraints, tell them. In the past, when this has been the case, they’ve done our orders in lightning fast fashion. PPS. I was annoyed today because they charged $ 3 for tea. Really? That’s some pretty good markup there.

Heard so much about poutine, so I walked all over and found it on the menu here. Tried it. Not bad; had the cheese and mushrooms poutine. Sorry, just not a fan of brown gravy. The burger was very good. The meal was just over $ 16 for a burger and poutine with a water… a bit pricey(and no crew discount). So I wasn’t sold quite enough to want to return, but if you’re business is picking up the tab or you have money to burn, you won’t be too disappointed with a meal here.

The food selection at YVR isn’t the world’s greatest, but nothing says«Welcome to Vancouver» better than White Spot. Parking here is horrendous, so ideally you’re here as a passenger. With that said, you can take the Canada Line here. Just make sure you have a monthly pass, or you’ll be paying that additional fee to leave the airport. The inside is nice and spacious, and the large windows at the front allow you to look at the passengers milling about. If you sit deeper in, it doesn’t feel like an airport terminal anymore, but one of the regular locations. Staff were friendly and courteous. I had the Steelhead Benedict. Oh WOW. This was better than I expected. The trout was really yummy, and so were the eggs. They were cooked just right(not too hard, too soft). The dish came with«Smashbrowns»(partially flattened potatoes — see pic) and a small dish of guacamole with corn mixed inside. Definitely one of the better breakfasts I’ve had in a long time, at a very reasonable $ 11. If you want something a bit classier than the food court, this place is a decent choice. Recommended.

WhiteSpot has been around since the beginning of time for me(30 years ago). I grew up around Vancouver and can remember going here as a child for the pirate pack, and later as an adult for the triple-o burger. A Vancouver institution, White Spot brings back the memory of simpler times. The recent upgrades to the menu were much needed, but with them the prices have risen. They’re starting to price themselves out of their sweet spot, and starting to compete against the likes of Cactus Club, Earls and Joeys, and frankly, I rather take my money there if I’m going to spend $ 18−20/meal. They need to return more towards their roots and operate as a family friendly all ages restaurant, and lower the prices.

A trip down memory lane with White Spot. I didn’t have time to go to a proper White Spot restaurant when visiting Vancouver and so decided to have a bit of dinner at YVR outlet. The good: 1. Strawberry milkshake was still awesome. Thick, creamy with strawberries bits in there. I could not finish it and was given a plastic cup to make it to-go. Nice touch. 2. Friendly staff and I was shown to a table promptly. The not so good: 1. A bit slow in service, so not a good place to dine if you are in a hurry. The customers were mostly people with time to kill when I was there(including myself). Maybe it was a slow night or something but it was not crowded and most were reading a book or on their laptops or just chilling with friends over drinks. 2. Food was mediocre. I had the legendary burger with zoo sticks and a half portion of the caesar salad. The burger patty was ok, juicy. The rest was sad — cheese was not melted and just sat there on the patty. Bread was not toasted enough. Fries were not crispy. Zoo sticks were ok but a bit oily after a while. The salad was decent, at least the lettuce was fresh and not wilted. I would only dine here again if the food court was packed or if there was no other options or if I wanted a quiet place.

flew through Vancouver a couple of weeks ago with my kids and told them that we would have time between flights to get a pirate pak. They hadn’t had one in a year or 2. I was a little worried we wouldn’t have enough time. But service was great and fast and ended up having time to spare. They were happy and so was I as I got some white spot clam chowder. Service and food was better here than the other white spot visit we had on our trip to Edmonton.

I fly out of town a lot, on business, and I guess I have a soft spot in my heart for WhiteSpot, from my childhood. I still think of Pirate Packs and Gold Coins, lol, I even ordered one a few years ago just to see it again. Its a sloppy burger place to me, Triple-O Burger and chocolate shake. We used to also go to the car service in Vancouver on SW Marine, throw back to the 60’s. I also recall the one on Granville that burnt down it was big and popular. White Spot is a Vancouver local chain, they are very consistent, and if your not a health nut, they have a nice range of choices. My friend who used to work at WS said tips SUCK because lots of senior’s order refillable coffee and complain for hours. $ 50 cent tips were common. The funniest thing is the Kerrisdale one has a full bar. I mean who gets drunk at Whitespot? Imagine if McD’s sold beer lol

Well, we had about an hour to spare before. Needing to clear security so we stopped in for a pre-flight dinner(didn’t want to buy food on the plane either!) when we were seated, we made sure to tell the server we had limited time. Fortunately it was a quite night and we had our meals quickly. It’s a tasty place to grab non greasy fast food that’s fresh and filling(although my husband did have the poutine style bake Potatoe fries) its a good place to try out if you have more than 30min to wait

Working at YVR I eat here with co-workers about once a month. The service can be slow depending on the time of day, but the food usually arrives relatively quickly. You can plan on about 1 hour start to finish, but only if you ask for the bill when they bring you your food so you don’t have to hunt them down later. The service is friendly but not that efficient. I really wish they would stop trying to impress us with their memory(or lack thereof) and just write down the orders instead of reciting what we’ve ordered(usually with mistakes). That being said — we have always received what we’ve ordered without mistakes. The food is decent and consistent. Never had an issue with items on the menu not being available. Their menu is varied and diverse. My pet peeve is the«features», their daily specials that they tell you about but the price is the same as it always is — it’s just their feature today; stop wasting our time or discount the price. Oh, and if you are traveling through — please think twice before you end up like some other ahem… customers; making a scene in the restaurant because you thought you could get a sit down meal in 15 minutes and now you’re late for your flight — that’s what the food court is for.
