We slept in this hotel on our way to Montréal. The room was spacious and the bathroom well equipped. The kids enjoyed the pool. In the morning we ate breakfast in the hotel-restaurant which was delicious and at a reasonable price. It was funny to see that they actually have birds in cages in different places of the hotel. Everything was clean and well looked after. The hotel is located close to restaurants.

If there was one blemish on our trip out east it would be our stays at L’oiseliere which had the worst rooms of the entire trip. We decided when planning this trip that we would stay the night outside of Quebec City on the way to and from Nova Scotia. When we looked for places to stay we chose L’oiseliere because it looked nice and was conveniently located just off the Trans Canada Highway. When we arrived we were greeted by their very welcoming staff, checked in and went to our rooms to clean up before dinner. Though everything looked nice to this point it was when we entered our room that everything started to turn for the worse. We opened our door to what can only be described as a sauna. We thought that the last guest must have had the heat on so we turned the temp down, got ready and went to dinner. Unfortunately when we got back it was a sauna again. Apparently the air conditioner in our room was bi-polar because it would go from cold air to hot air for no reason. We were tired from our long drive and had a longer one the next day so we shut it off and opened the window. As we went to go to be we discovered that although it looked like a normal bed we would actually be sleeping on a slab of stone. I have never had a harder bed in my life and it made it very hard for either of us to sleep. We are definitely not fans of this place, even though their staff is really good(the only thing saving them from a 1 star). If you want a good night sleep you should probably try somewhere else.
