Nice little diner in St-Anne. Great if you’re driving from Quebec city to La Malbaie or Baie St-Paul — not too many options on the way. Poutine and hot chicken were sample. The poutine was very adequate, with thawed curds, powder gravy and hot fries. A solid 3⁄5. The hot chicken was«bare minimum». In case you’re not familiar with hot chicken, it’s not the kind of spicy breaded chicken you get at Chinese eateries. Rather, it’s typically thick shreds on chicken(tights) in a sandwich, smothered with gravy and topped with chick peas. it’s a traditional Quebec dish that’s normally pretty hard to mess up — that’s of course if there are no chick peas, as in this case. In a bind, the resto du fleuve will do. The service is friendly, and there’s free wifi(ask for the code).
