This place is terrible. I don’t think the owner knows how to run a bar. Seems like he has watched the movie Rocky Balboa one to many times and thinks he can just walk around with a beer sponsored sweater and mingle with the customers. Pay more attention to the quality of food coming out of the kitchen! There is one thing that a bar should make sure come out tasting good and sizing is good. That is the wings. Mine were undercooked, and VERY small. It was absolutely terrible. I remember how this place once was before new ownership. Décor is good. I see improvements since I have been there last. But the place is slow. Loud music for nobody in there. What more can I say. I will not be back.

Not often will I say that a bar is cute, but this place really is just that. The décor adds a nice charm to a place and sets it apart from just any other pub or bar with pool tables. A twist on the usual ‘Fox and Fiddle’ that you see practically everywhere now.(Once you’ve seen one, you’ve seen them all.) Didn’t have a chance to try any of the food but played pool on the coin tables which I have come to adore over the years of playing. Beer was good to say the least. Staff and general patrons friendly enough. Definitely worth visiting again.

I’ve often passed by here or gone to the A&W next door. I finally got to try it last week with a group of friends since we were in the area. I ordered a banquet burger, which was surprisingly nice. It was juicy and tasted good, and the fries were good too. The service was a bit slow though, and my friend brought his coffee in from Tims and she made him throw it out, even though he was ordering a drink. Crazy stuff happened while we were eating, two women got into a huge fight by the pool tables. I doubt this happens a lot, but it was interesting yet scary.

Went there a few days ago with my girlfriend. It was out first time being at 3-Monkeys. As you walk in, there is a sign that tells you to seat yourself, so we did. It didn’t take long for the waitress to bring our menus and ask if we would like a drink. Fast and attentive. The seats are a bit low for how high the table is, so it felt a little awkward. We ordered the 1 pound hot and honey chicken wings with a side of sweet potato fries, and the spinach dip. The wings were average size, decent, and the spinach dip was a bit runny(could have used a bit more cheese), but still good. The spinach dip came with only 1 pita grilled and sliced into triangle bites, wasn’t enough pita in ratio to the dip. We had gotten a pitcher of Budweiser, as they have $ 12 domestic pitchers on Saturdays. Beer had a metallic taste to it, but hey it’s $ 12. We had asked for the bill and a shot of rum separate bill. When the waitress came back to give the first bill, she had a pitcher in her hand and had spilt some of the beer on me. She was very apologetic, which was nice. When she came back to give us the bill for the shot, she had given us a bunch of mints and apologized again. Defiantly will come back if the girlfriend wants a night out.

One of the first places I went for beer when I was 19. I have been a few times after that. Nothing bad to say, the food was better than most places like this within its price range. Great for a small group of friends to eat and half a few beers. Will probably be back, but won’t go out of my way to come here.

The band played some great rock hits. Good burger and poutine fries.

3 Monkey’s eatery is one of the only local pubs in Scarborough. Despite this fact it is still a lackadaisical establishment. I came here last Saturday night for a post dinner drink with some Unilocalers and was not very impressed. The restaurant kind of looks like your basic Firkin pub that is in need of a makeover. The restaurant was pretty empty with the exception of a few bar flies taking in the karaōke. There are some pool tables in the bar so one could kill some time here; however there is a serious lack of TV’s. The beer list is absolutely uninspired with nothing in the way of local micro-brews(the waitress did say that they had a local brew but took it off the menu because nobody was ordering it). I had a Steamwhistle which was the only local brew not from the folks at Molson. I was not hungry but one of the people with us ordered a burger. The burger looked pretty standard. I did manage to snag a couple sweet potato fries which were lumpy and not as crispy as I like them to be. The menu was a basic bar menu with nothing out of the ordinary. The service was good; our waitress was attentive and did check up on us regularly. Overall I do not think I would return to 3 Monkey’s, and if I did I would not come on a karaōke night since the folks singing were doing their best to butcher some classic rock songs.

We ended up here after a long meal. As I walked I dreaded the sign that read Karaōke on Sunday(I believe in the adage Music is a religion and Karaōke is a cult) yet there was music blaring out that was a nightmare. Guess what there were a group of people belting out(read murdering) classics. I went for a burger and a substituted sweet potato fries for regular one’s. Beer list is uninspiring and is mainstream stuff. Service is OK as we were checked on regularly. The burger arrived fast and was nothing special. Fries were OK as well. It boils down to is that this is a neighborhood watering hole. 2 Stars(half star deducted for no warning of Karaōke on Saturday!)

3 Monkeys Eatery is a good neighbourhood pub in Scarborough if you want to chill out with some friends for a drink or 2. I was there for a nightcap with 3 Unilocalers(Monkeys?) on a Saturday night. The selection of beer is half decent for the area at least there are Moosehead, Steam Whistle and some imports available. Live Band with some live music and some Karaōke singing in between but since I had a drink or 2, they don’t bother me too much as I went through a lot worse! I didn’t have any food to eat as all I need was a drink but I tried some sweet potato fries and they were decent! Services are friendly here and we were checked on all through our stay even when we seated at the back of the room. 3 Monkeys Eatery is a good place to grab a quick drink or bite and chill out a bit if you are in the area! Maybe a beer and a round of pool? I shoot a lot better after a drink or 2!

I have to agree with the reviews on here, this place does have it all… I find the jukebox to be limited in what it has and the wait staff is a little rude.

If you live or work, where I am… you’ve either heard or been here. This is a local favourite! This pub has it ALL. You want pool, darts, arcade golf, jukebox, patio, sports, and etc., you’re at the right place! There’s lots to do with great weekly deals. Food is tasty, compared to regular pubs. My favourite snacks are the chip platter and fried pickles. Price is reasonable and doesn’t burn a hole in my wallet with alcohol combined. My coworkers and I have come here multiple times, it’s our happy hour location. When I say local, I mean it! Strange at times, when we’re bumping into clients. Pool and darts are always kept clean and in GREAT condition. I’ve learn to play darts, here! Great place to bring your girlfriends, if you’re a sport fanatic cause there’s things for them to do.
