Bakery On The Go, its located in Warden Station, which makes it convenient when you want to have a little snack while waiting for the bus. The prices are reasonable, for the types of food items that are offered. They open early and close late, meaning you can get something in the morning and evening. With that said, if you are purchasing a snack in the evening, they are generally leftovers from the day; this means they aren’t the freshest. Finally, if your looking for award winning customer service, well, look somewhere else– the service level varies– depends on who assists you and their mood. Personally, I sometimes treat myself to a cinnamon-bun or a vegetarian patty. I’ve tried the beef patty, and ended up with indigestion.

I used to come here all the time when i was a kid on our way up to visit grandma. this past year i had to make regular trips to Scarberia and i started coming here for the patty for nostalgia’s sake. But after a few times of getting a warmish patty that i wasn’t convinced was fresh i started going to the place NEXTDOOR, Café on the go i think it’s called. the bakery next door has way better food: the patties are always hot and the crust is crisp, the noodles are flavourful although on the greasy side of things and a good cheap snack on the way out.

If your looking for a quick and inexpensive eat when at Warden Station, this is where you go. The shop is located in the area where the buses pull in. It’s under $ 3 for a patty and pop. The patties are always nice and warm here. I’ve never really tried any of the other bakery items here. The owners here are very nice.

I get off at this station on weekdays because of school, and it’s quite possibly the most miserable station you can go to. It’s dirty, cold, windy(how the hell do you make a SUBWAYSTATION windy?), sketchy at times, and whatever adjectives I haven’t included here that would make the station any more accurate. After trying the patties here(Which is $ 1.50), I have no idea how I didn’t bother about this place for a semester and a half, especially when it’s so close to the bus platform I take, and complain about starving by the time I get to Warden and couldn’t find something to eat back in downtown. Oh, and try to get them fresh, though I don’t know how often they make it, so press your luck.

On the very rare occasions when I find myself at Warden station I like to pop into Bakery On the Go to grab a snack while I wait for the bus. Most of the treats on offer are of the sugary, cream-filled variety, which isn’t really my scene. The baklava($ 2) is excellent though; tender, dripping with honey, and filled with nuts. If you’re looking for something less sweet give the patties a try. They’re fresh, flaky, and the filling is quite good. For those that have tried the Bakery On the Go in Bathurst station I’m pretty sure this is part of the same mini-chain, but I’ve never seen baklava at the Bathurst location.
