AHhhhh this place tasted good, but my stomach did not like it after an hour. My sister’s stomach was okay with it, so maybe it’s just me… Shared preserved egg w/shredded pork, preserved egg with assorted, and fish slices congee. I liked the preserved egg w/shredded pork– I found the egg pieces much larger than they usually are in this type of congee. Also got fried dough and sweet fried dough– the former was dripping grease and the latter tasted like a sweet donut. Also go beef rice noodles that were soft and delicious. My mouth liked the food about 3.5 stars, but my stomach did not like the food quite as much. Probably not coming back. Décor and service: kind of dirty and not well maintained(but cheap, so what do you expect)

Nan Cheong is a small family runned congee and noodle restaurant in a small strip mall in Scarborough. Everything here is quite forgettable. They do serves different kind of congee, freshly made steamed rice noodle, wonton/beef brisket noodle soup, stir-fried noodle. I do enjoy their steamed rice noodle. since they making them fresh when you order. you can have plain, beef, shrimp with it… They close for vacation quite often, once every few months! CASH only!
