This is the best seasoned meat in town. I always buy them for my house BBQ and it saved me lots of time. High recommend to everyone

This is the best seasoned meat I have found in the city. The meat cooks well on the bbq, always tasty and tender. A go to butcher shop for those that of us in the know.

This location has been my go to place for bbq meat for many years. Usually I ordered their chicken wings, garlic chicken breast and garlic pork chops. The marinaded food is always delicious. You write an order on the forms they provided. You can also order by the phone, but I ended up forgetting to do so. My order today was pretty quick. If you have last minute bbq or too lazy to marinade meat prior to the bbq. This is the right place to go.

I have a theory that there is inverse relationship between a restaurant/food store’s aesthetics and its quality of food. Meat Express is definitely another hole-in-the-wall that supports this theory. Entering the plaza, you will most likely say«What the hell…» as it looks like the whole building complex just survived a post-apocalyptic nuclear attack. Looking closely I suspect it may have looked decent once, but it looks like the property owners care as much about maintenance as the NHL about putting a second team in Toronto. The unit where Meat Express is located is even more fascinating. It’s essentially a tight rectangular standing room only space where you receive your meat from the huge meat processing room in the back. The door even has a sign that says to ring doorbell when entering. It makes me feel like I’ve stumbled across a top secret meat facility… FORDELICIOUSNESS. It felt… good. The people were courteous, and spoke good English, both when we called and when we picked up. Nice bonus! We got some chicken(both garlic and satay), along with some ribeye steaks and some riblets. The price was very reasonable, comparable to many that you can get at Costco or supermarkets but with the added bonus of already being pre-seasoned.As for the taste? It was very good. It had a sweet-ish flavour that permeated a lot of the meat that we selected, and I really liked it! The flavours weren’t super intense(and I guess it could add a bit more«kick» in an ideal world) but they were nice and as good as any BBQ meat I’ve had in Canada. Oh and yes, they were nice and tender. Give them a try. I think you’ll like it. 50% of the fun is when you go to pick up your meat. You’ll see.

Don’t let the store’s(if you could call it that) appearance fool you — this place has the absolute most delicious asian style spare ribs and other pre-marinated meat(satay chicken anyone?) for all your home bbq needs! Make sure to bring cash though! And be prepared to see lots of meat — it is a meat processing place.

I’ve been comming here for years. It’s my favourite ready too cook bbq meat source. Don’t bother wasting your whole day prepping food. Just come grab what you need and start cooking right away and your guests will think you are the BBQ king.

For 3 years, Meat Express has been my go to butcher to buy seasoned meats(Korean galbi, Chinese pepper steaks) for my cottage parties. Excellent value as the taste far exceeds the price.

A great place to buy BBQ seasoned meats for the summer time. The prices are good and the owner is a nice guy. Highly recommended!
