Dimaggio’s Restaurant

Went there last November … My husband Ordered seafood fettuccine …
Gross. No seasoning … Pollock and tiny pieces of shrimps. I had the daily special wich was the beef ribs. Un… Eatable. Couldn’t even chew the one bite I took. Had a Caesar … Ordinary. Caesar salad. All
Coming out of a box /​bag. I also had the won ton soup to start … Hell no don’t even try it !!!
100 $ for supper … What a waste of money
This is one of the first time ever in a restaurant I couldn’t even take one more bite off my beef ribs. Maybe for pizza one day … The other couple in the restaurant (there was only my husband and I and some other couple in the restaurant at prime time hours) ordered pizza and it didn’t look too shabby …

Decided to give Dimaggio’s a shot tonight for dinner. Been driving by since they opened.
Not too shabby.
As they label themselves a steak and pizza place, I settled on the House Steak calzone. A nice mix of both. Indulged in a poutine on the side.
For ~$ 20…I was pleasantly surprised.
Nice décor.
Friendly server. Never did get a refill on my Iced tea…
Good food. Large, filling serving size.
Not going to rush back… but not going to rule out a return visit either.

Never been treated so poorly! I Was there for a lunch meeting. Had been there twice before and had no issues and the food was acceptable but yesterday was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. I ordered the special, Chicken Parmesan with soup. I waited an hour only to receive way undercooked chicken. When I finally got the waitresses attention my companion had been completely done his meal for 5mins. I told her the chicken was raw and she took the plate with no apologies, only to return to tell me I would only be charged ½ price. Never would I ever return to such a place. They are more concerned with making money than putting out a quality product. Mistakes happen in commercial kitchens but you don’t charge the customer for your mistakes. Appalled by this behaviour.

Pretty good place. Pizza was good but the crust was a bit dry for my liking. The wonton soup is great!

Service was awful, food was almost inedible. I had the roast beef sandwich and the gravy had no flavor, The poutine was awful for the same reason. The garlic shrimp was dry and gross. Our server disappeared for about 20 minutes with out anyone picking up the slack. I will never go back.

So I hadn’t been to Dimaggio’s in a couple years (shame since I love their pasta) when a family member was in town, trying to think outside the box I suggested we headed to Dimaggio’s. Walking in we realized we were the only two customers in the restaurant (about 7:30 on a Thursday). Immediately I started second guessing my selection wondering if maybe the food had gone downhill.
I was so relieved when my food came out just as delicious as I remembered it being! My only comment may be that it was a tad overpriced by a few dollars. However still great quality food.

OK — the pizza IS pretty good! Too bad the service was still pretty terrible. I watched a guy at the table next to ours find his own chair (it was a table set for 4 but there were 5 in the party) AND bring the menus to the table for the group… oh my!

Well what can I say… I love this place. I have been going there since they pretty much opened a few years back. They have some of the best pizza around. They have a cajun cesar salad… YUMMY! for whatever reason it far beats any other cajun cesar salad I have had. Service is always adequate and even though it is alittle above average for prices… it is well worth it. Remember what they say… You get what you pay for. Oh and steak… yep it is delicious!

Very limited & expensive menu choices… but very good food!

The pizza at Dimaggio’s is fantastic!
We ordered a couple pizzas from here one day and were blown away. They were incredible. We got one that was kind of like a Mexican style pizza and we got a classic Hawaiian pizza too. They were both phenomenal.
If you like pizza, you have to try Dimaggio’s.
The only thing that kept them from 5 stars was that I found them expensive compared to other pizza places. However, they worth it.
