First time I have been at Ricky’s and I’m pretty sure it won’t be my last. I’ve never been in a Ricky’s before so if what I experienced is any indication for other Ricky’s, I will definitely request this place over a Denny’s anyday of the week. The décor and atmosphere was nice and warm. Even though the Sherwood Park location looks small, there is ample seating inside. But I could see a long wait time if you arrived at peak hours. The food was wonderful. And the service was great. I ordered the Classic Double Egger and the food came out ‘perfection’. My sunny-side up eggs were huge and cooked perfectly. The toast was soft, the chorizo sausage was money. The shredded hashbrowns, perfectly cooked golden brown. Unlike other breakfast places in this category of restaurant, you often get a cook who is banging out breakfast meals at lighting speed and you end up getting a sloppy plate. This didn’t happen at Ricky’s. Whomever was the cook on Saturday morning, *slow clap* I can tell you enjoy cooking and take pride in your work. Thank you! As for our server, she was really good, I didn’t ask her name but my intuition thinks it was the manager/owner of the place. Either way she was awesome. Hope to see her again. As for the 4 out 5. I need to visit again and try the Brekkie Bowl. I saw someone have one and I thought«WTF is that?! Do Want!!!» It looked awesome.

This morning I decided to stop into Ricky’s for my 1st time. Nice décor and atmosphere. Friendly, helpfull staff. Food…well that’s where alas, I have a story instead of a few words. My appologies in advance for the length of this, but I feel the place actually deserves the benefit of the doubt… and that said… I will certainly go back! I ordered their«build your own Beni’ eggs Benedict. I settled on Chorizo and avacado. I recieved my meal and it looked good enough, so I dug in with zeal. After a few mouthfulls, I began to wonder if it was normal that their english muffins were not toasted, and hence, very soft and somewhat mushy given the toppings and sauce. The next time my server happened by, I made this enquirey. By this time, I had allready finished 1 of the 2 stacks. She assured me that they should be toasted, and while I hesitated(given that I was now more than half done a hearty meal) she insisted on getting me „another one“. While I waited for what I expected to be at least another english muffin and at most another, properly constructed stack, I ate the topping off my original second muffin. I began to wonder what was taking so long. Now full from my meal, I am presented with 2, more stacks. Obviously toasted, and with at least twice as much meat each asy original offering. Looked amazing, but alas, I am now too full to partake. I now quizrd the server…“Is this how it should be, or is the chef making reperations?». She says she feels that the original meals helping of meat was standard(which I had originally felt wasn’t quite enough). I decide to take the beautiful new meal home to my wife, and primptly pay the bill. So I am left in limbo. Would have been better ti discount the meal I had allready eaten half of than present me with more food I cannot enjoy. Which presentation is their standard fare? Wife said the new batch was fantastic. I felt the original batch was good(especially if ot had been properly toasted). So…yeah…I think I’ll go back. But I think I’ll try lunch!

This place has definitly made huge improvements in the past couple of years! By that I mean, the quality of the food service… everything we’ve ordered in recent months has been superb compared to early days! Delicious food! Already wanting a clubhouse!

Won’t go back, we sat at the bar asked for water, waited for sometime. We were about to leave because it took so long. The waitress took our order than proceeded to complain about us to another server. The both were looking at us as they were talking. We left

The food is always delicious. We enjoy breakfast and lunch at Ricky’s! The restaurant is small but accommodating and cozy. Improvements could be made with respect to servers. Not that they’re bad but one could use a little more attention. Customer service can go a long way when done right!

This a small, cute little Ricky’s. It’s the smallest I’ve seen. From the start the staff was accommodating because we had a larger group — 5 and a baby. For this little location. That’s a lot! We got a great table, they really made it work for us even though it was busy. The coffee then came quickly and we are looking forward to the food — which, come on, it’s Rickys! It’s gonna be good :)

It was the first time visiting a Ricky’s. There was five of us that went out for a business lunch. The place was busy but nowhere near full. We got seated by we presume the manager and then it went downhill from there. The waitress was grouchy and never smiled the whole time we were there. I know people have bad days but this is like we slapped her ourselves. She asked if we wanted drinks, one member asked for a latte, the waitress looked up an said ‘no, we don’t have them, this is Ricky’s’. We didn’t order food right away as we discussed business, this was not to the waitresses liking, whom seemed most disgusted with us. I didn’t get a coffee top up for the longest time, basically until I started eating, then she came around too much! Awful experience from the server, which was a shame because the food was half decent. I think the server could have been the owners wife, which sometimes can work out but definitely not with this place. I will try Ricky’s again but not the Sherwood Park restaurant.

Took a short road trip to Sherwood Park yesterday and went to Ricky’s for lunch. This Ricky’s was pretty much like all the others I have visited. Our waitress was nice, but vanished partway through our meal and we were helped out by others. At one point I signalled to our original waitress who saw me — and ignored me. My order was also royally screwed up, but that would have been the fault of the kitchen — the problems were fixed, but I was not impressed and may have been a reason for being ignored by the waitress. The food was as good as it always is at Ricky’s — good, but not great. I would possibly come here again if I was in the area and wanted breakfast food, but this was not a very positive experience.
