What a gem! My fiancée and I had the most delicious meal here during our stay in Simcoe. The food, combined with the atmosphere and service created an amazing experience. We arrived on a cold and rainy night, up to what looks like a house but has been converted to the restaurant. We got a cozy table in the back and received excellent service. Lots of gluten free options, with a small but varied menu. Good cocktails as well. Really enjoyed their farm to table fare, especially the caprese salad with fresh heirloom tomatoes and burrata cheese. Portions were very generous and we could have gone without the appetizer, but I’m glad we didn’t! We didn’t have room for dessert. Overall, great experience and we would highly recommend this place for an upscale dinner in Simcoe.

This is my favourite restaurant in Simcoe because the food is made fresh(i.e. not from frozen) and locally-sourced. They also sell Saucy Cider(from Villa Nova Estate Winery), which is one of the only places to get this, and a variety of local beers and wines. A meal here can add up, but it’s worth it because of how fresh everything is — honestly, fresh goes a long way with me! The pizzas are also amazing, if you want to get something cheaper on the menu; they’re cooked in a huge oven at the back and also, you guessed it, freshly-made! The atmosphere is also nice — the décor is a modern country-style and everything has been well-thought-out including the lighting. It’s comfortable in both winter and summer. The wait staff always seem to understand the food and are attentive. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant and I have even brought my family here(who were visiting from the UK).

Casual fine dining at its best. Lovely older home with great variation, friendly staff and chefs. Love the use of local produce, some grown on side. We love that the menu frequently changes seasonally. Absolutely love the Mac and cheese fritters and skillet chicken. Very pleasant. Always enjoy our time at the combine!

Had a great time at the Combine! The restaurant is in a gorgeous old home, and they’ve certainly kept that feeling when you walk in. Lovely décor, scented candles, and hanging your coat in the front hall closet all add to this homey feel. They have several rooms of tables, giving a more personal, quiet atmosphere. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the wild mushroom tagliatelle. The creamy sauce was perfect, not too rich. My friends got pizza and enjoyed their choices as well. The only thing that didn’t sit well with me was my friend is vegan and ordered her pizza with no cheese. When the runner brought out the pizza, my friend was in the washroom. The runner took this opportunity to say ‘Well, the pizza is less exciting without the cheese.” Obviously, someone is ordering no cheese for a reason and I thought this comment was insensitive. Other than that, this dinner was fantastic and I would definitely visit again if I was in the area.

The combine restaurant is probably the fanciest one around simcoe. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the service was wonderful. I ordered the Fettuccini which had fresh vegetables from their garden which is in the back(which I adore places that grow their own food) it was an interesting taste, the first couple bites were amazing, but by the end of the dish the spices had become to much considering how much flavour was in it, there just wasn’t much variation in the flavor and I couldn’t finish it. The people I was with ordered the burgers with carmalized pretty much everything, which they did not like. The French fries had odd spices like apple tastes and they never offered just regular ketchup only their home made ketchup, which also tasted odd. Overall even though they add odd spices together to make different tastes it is a good restaurant and I would go there again. Though it is a bit pricey, its the interestingness of the food that you are paying for.
