University Club

We held our wedding reception at the University Club this August, and were really impressed by their prices, friendliness, and the tastiness of the food! We wanted something low-​key, but comfortable, and they made that easy. The Great Hall easily accommodated our 100 guests, with lots of room for dancing. Many guests expressed how delicious the meal was, and we all noticed the adaptability and friendliness of the staff. There was even a city-​wide power outage about an hour before supper was to be served, and the staff made it all work with a mere half-​hour delay. The University Club was hugely instrumental in making our wedding day everything we’d dreamed. I definitely recommend them to anyone else considering holding a wedding and/​or reception here!

Today the University Club invited everyone for a free chili lunch to celebrate homecoming, of course we took advantage. I’m giving the Club one more star than I usually would; the staff was friendly, the chili and biscuits were fresh, hot and free. The reason no one I know frequents the University Club is the annual membership fee and the dated interior. The Club is trying to improve its business and sent out a campus survey a few months ago; my co-​workers and I agree don’t charge me for membership and full price meals that are no better than the other institutional food on campus.
