Decided to pick up some fresh salads for dinner at Chopped Leaf since I was in the area. Two full southwest salads — one with Chicken and the other with tofu came to $ 24. I was a little blown away by the price; however, I ate half of my salad for dinner and have the other half for lunch. My husband devoured his and we both thought the taste was amazing! We won’t be making this a regular occurrence, however, if you’re going to treat yourself to a healthy dish, this is the place to go! Staff are so friendly and you can’t help but smile when ordering! I’m anxious to try some other dishes there! I’d technically give this a 4.5 star rating as the only downfall was the price.

A health and delicious alternative when you want something quick but quality is still a priority. Have eaten at this location multiple times they are consistent and always deliver.

I’ve been to The Chopped Leaf in Spruce Grove a few times now and it is a great little place to get fresh, healthy food. They could take it a little easier on the sauces in the wraps and the rosemary pita chips are a very strong rosemary flavour and really do not accompany some of the dishes very well(it’s not that I don’t like rosemary, I do, very much, just not with things like salsa and avocado), I think a plain or garlic pita chip would be suited much better for most of their dishes. That being said ask for easy dressing or on the side and steer clear of the pita chips in certain instances and everything is very good. The salad rolls are very good, I haven’t had the chance to try the prawn salad rolls yet just the veggie as they have been out of the prawn when I’ve ordered them. That’s probably a sign that they are good though. The Evil Peanut sauce that is served with the salad rolls is a very nice accompaniment and doesn’t overpower the natural flavour of the peppers at all. I also quite enjoy the Chipotle Lime Citrus dressing. I had a taste of my husbands Tuna Melt and it was really good. They serve their sandwiches(at least the tuna melt for sure) with ranch dressing which, in my opinion is totally gross, but, I do not like ranch dressing, I think it is the epitome of North American overindulgent, cover up the flavour instead of bringing out the flavour of real food, style cuisine. I’m sure it’s something that if they didn’t have it some people would refuse to eat there though. That being said, The Chopped Leaf is a refreshing change to the typical fast food salads and wraps that are out there. Good job ladies & gents!

Great food, great service, and a good variety of options to choose from. This is a new favorite at home and with our office!

This is such a great place. Really good«whole bowl» with brown rice, and the man got a southwest salad with a bowl of spicy tomato soup. Delish! Best part was the staff for sure, they were so polite and genuinely seemed happy to be there. I will definitely be making this a staple in spruce grove.

Great spot. The smoked tofu is awesome. I really love that many menu items are gluten free or vegan/vegetarian friendly. The soups are always a Must and they never disappoint. Sometimes I feel like there can be a few more ingridents

I’ve been to the Chopped Leaf twice, once at this location in Spruce Grove and once at the downtown location. A whole restaurant of salad options makes me really happy. I’m vegan and try to avoid gluten, so this place is really ideal. I like the variety and the vegan choices in salad dressings and that tofu is an option for a protein. The salads I’ve had both times were fresh and delicious and really filling enough to be considered a whole meal. I do think the prices are on the steep side, $ 12 for a salad does seem like a lot and it’s not something I would spend money on everyday, but on the occasion I’m looking for a healthy and fast lunch option, Chopped Leaf has become a favourite choice.

Well we were here yesterday and had wonderful food! It was my first visit here but the rest of my family had been here before and recommended it. As for comments earlier about the water… see pic about texting first and you will get a free one(text coupon valid for 48 hours) AND they offer a different flavour every day. There is also a baby change table available in one of the unisex bathrooms. Wifi is FREE… NOTSHAW. If it was only Shaw before, it has changed since previous review. Thai curry soup ws a hit with two family members and the Evil Peanut Sauce was loved by all. I tried a Signature salad and enjoyed the nutty, crunchy sweetness. We also had salad rolls, but I was too slow to enjoy them! According to the grins and fast dipping and chewing, I missed this time! I will definitely go to Chopped Leaf Spruce Grove again.

Our new favorite place to eat in Spruce Grove. So glad that we are expanding as a community and great restaurants like this are giving us enough choice to stay in Spruce Grove for a night out! We are vegetarian, and we appreciate that they label their foods that are vegan. It is nice not to have to wonder as we eat(especially with soups) or ask someone who is not too sure. I hate finding out after the fact that we just ate a meat based soup without knowing it. The food has been very good so far. We have only had two soups — the Thai Curry and the Spicy Potato — and OMG were they ever good! Also, their spicy peanut sauce is not that spicy, in case you are worried, and well worth a try. I agree with the other reviewer about the flavored water. It is such a unique thing to offer, and so much easier than making it at home! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. If you go in their confused as to what to do, don’t worry, because they will be more than happy to help you through your order. I find the prices decent. We don’t get extra protein so I never considered that… but my husband and I can get a wrap, soup, and drink for $ 25.

Oh you strange and wonderful spot in Spruce Grove. My mom and I drove from Edmonton twice to go to this spot. They have a wide variety of options for vegans, lacto-ovo-vegetarians, and non-veg folks. I’ve never been to any other Chopped Leaf locations, but it is a chain. They have salads, wraps, soups, salad rolls, and other quick items. You can customize nearly everything, either pick from the menu, or ask for a clipboard and design your own salad/wrap. The restaurant was nearly spotless. I don’t know how they did it, but they kept that place consistently clean. The cups of flavoured filtered water are 1.50. This seems like too much — but then it isn’t. It’s actually delicious, and I might even say… worth it. The ice cold water infused with chopped watermelon, kiwi, and/or pineapple was great, and unlimited refills. Food was okay, the salad costs add up quickly if you add meat or tofu to your bowl, but I found the vegetarian salad rolls fairly reasonable(depending on who makes them they might end up huge, or they might end up miniature as we found out) either way, they are tasty with the evil peanut dipping sauce. Other stuff: they have shaw open here(so wifi is kind of free)
