Perfect place for dinner, lunch, drinks, whatever. Our group of four stopped for a late lunch after a long day and were immediately happy to be here. Clean, friendly/helpful staff, quality food, and good prices. I would 100% visit this place again and couldn’t find a single reason not to give it five stars.

While setting up for a gathering nearby, we got hungry and i had heard about this place so we decided to check it out for that in between time after lunch but not quite supper… Nice selection on the menu and super friendly staff but after 50 minutes still had not received our two burgers and one salmon burger! When they finally did arrive they were charbroiled on the outside yet juicy inside like magic! Nice side salad for me and yam fries for my friend and a decent selection of Drinks. Music is contemporary and there are huge screens around but up high so you can sit on a lower level of this multi– leveled place without being disturbed by the tv’s. There is a sunny patio with nice views.

My partner and I love this place! Best wings in town! Local attraction but they also make visitors of the area feel just as welcome! Friendly staff and the wings rule! Especially the honey hot aka fire and ice! Thanks Shady Tree!

A good spot to hit on the way home from whistler. Nachos are very good and are served with a very small portion of homemade salsa(could have use 2 to 3 times as much because it was so good!) it usually depends on the server and how busy the restaurant is but sometimes they will do half orders of the nachos which is great for a single serving. One weird thing about the menu is all of the salads are the same price on their own but if you get them as a side they charge you more for the spinach salad also for some odd reason you can not substitute salad for fries with the chicken finger meal. Drinks are a reasonable price and the staff is generally friendly. All around good pub!

Been here a couple times and every visit has been fantastic. The food is awesome. The kitchen seems to really care about their food as all the dishes are well crafted and well made. Good ingredients, great portions. The servers are very friendly. The patio is also very nice. Definitely worth the stop when you’re in Squamish!

Typical pub food and OK beer selection, but the pluses are the massive portions(seriously.don’t underestimate the portions) and the super nice waitresses. They also serve food later than pretty much anywhere else in town.

don’t bother looking at their website, they never update it. There are many items that the website doesn’t show, and the web menu has items they do not offer. SOANNOYING! their food is good, delivery is fast, website serves no purpose.

Only 4 stars because it’s impossible to get a table when the 2 for 1 appies hit, which is where the best value is. Kudos on the business for bringing everyone around in! If it was 2 for 1 appies all the time I would be here 3 days a week. Great food. Good sportsish bar. The only thing this place is missing is more seating area(nearly impossible without a second floor) and a few other good bars around that aren’t a $ 20 cab ride away, which is out of the bars control, and slightly better priced/portioned appies on the other days. Owner is out front, saying hi and being a human being. Seems like the type of guy that will do whatever it takes including wash dishes to make the place operate at peak efficiency. Refreshing and recommended. BTW try the Buffalo burger and never want to eat the other meats again.

Came with a group this past weekend for dinner after a long hike up the Sea to Sky. Lots of seating available — we sat on the patio and had a good view of the TV screens and a fantastic breeze coming in as well. Food was a bit on the pricy side, but really hit the spot. I had the Shady burger with yam fries(no extra charge) while my friends ordered several different plates of wings. The burger was top-notch and the yam fries were superb — perhaps the best yam fries I’ve ever had when eating out. I love yam fries/wedges like nothing else so this is no small feat! Everyone seemed to enjoy the wings as well. Service was a bit hit or miss. We sat ourselves as instructed but did not get any service for the better part of 20 minutes — both waitresses thought the other one was serving us. That said, our orders were taken and delivered roughly 30 minutes later — great timing. I ordered a beer just after my meal came and it was finally brought over 20 mins later when I’d finished and had no room. I should have sent it back. They made amends when it came time to pay. Overall, I like the atmosphere, the food, and am sure the service would be much better on a second visit.

I’ve been to a lot of different wing purveyors including The Anchor Bar and Duff’s in Buffalo and I can honestly say that The Shady Tree has the greatest wings in the world. Hands down. If anyone can figure out how they make them so crispy and juicy at the same time please share it with me. The only problem I have with this place is that they are in B.C. and I live in New York.

Fun sports bar. Great, festive feel. Huge screen for watching hockey. The menu had variety, although they were out of the Thai chicken wrap I wanted. Our waitress was fantastic. There was a 45 minute wait for food, which our waitress did tell us about. I’m not sure it was worth that long of a wait, but watching some NCAA basketball made it a little easier to wait.

A friend and I have been traveling through Squamish quite a bit this summer exploring, we had drove past this place many times but never stopped in.(I’m regretting that now.) Last weekend was our first time there as we desperately wanted wings after our trip to whistler. It’s decent sized pub, kind of reminded me of back home(New Brunswick) very country. I loved it. The staff are very friendly and always make you feel welcomed even if you’re getting food to go! We ordered the honey garlic wings and they were ready in about 10 minutes. Best wings ever! I’ll defiantly be coming back next weekend!

I have been going to the Shady Tree since 2000. This place always makes me smile. They have the best Nachos in town… Guinness and Kilkenny on Tap… & kick ass wings. Yesterday I went there and they had re-done the menu and I had a great beer… I have been thinking of it since then and would love to go for one right now. The team at the Tree always works so good together. .kinda like a family. I love this place and with the growing community around I am excited to see it grow as well. :)

First the disclaimer. After a 2 day hike and camp out in the woods, almost any non-dehydrated food would taste really good. Now the review. The Shady Tree has become our reward après-camping at the nearby Elfin Lakes. The stairs leading up to the restaurant are not looked forward to(after hiking down 11k, the quads scream, even climbing the 8 or so steps!). But the nachos, oh the nachos. The specialness of their nachos is two-fold. First they layer the nachos, so you have cheesy, tomato, jalapeño bits to fight over up to the last chip. Second, they put a tortilla-wrap under the nachos, so cleanup is easy for the kitchen, and there is delicious cheesy, crispiness up to the end for us. The chicken wings were great as well, crispy not too oily or skinny. The ranch dressing was watery and bland, but the rest of the food, chilled beer and sunny(slightly breezy) covered patio made up for it. Recommended!

The outside looks great which is why I went there but the food looked awful(at other tables) and service was bad so I drank some water and walked out.

We go here quite often, most recently after mtn biking at Alice Lake. Fish and Chips… excellent. not too much batter. I usually have the salmon or prawns on their huge spinach salad, love it. Never had bad service and there is tons of seating. Looking forward to the summer when the large windows open up.

Where to go after a Sqamish area hike. We found this pub by doing a search on the GPS. for grub in the area. It’s a perfect after-hiking pub to reclaim all those lost calories you left on the trail. Everyone was pretty satisfied with the food, and one of our party who had the Salmon burger and said«it was the best one» she ever had! The Buffalo burger looked delicious, the salads were actually huge, which I had with a nicely seasoned chicken breast on top, although the chicken was a bit overcooked and dry, and I was not crazy about the fries, myself, but the onion rings looked good. There was something called«Big Bones» which was no exaggeration, being that these are Flintstone sized ribs and it was only an appetizer! it was priced around 11 bucks. The value is really good, even the Beer prices are reasonable. There’s plenty of seating both inside and out on the enclosed porch-like room with a view. Of course the setting is awesome, so stars just for the view. We picked the round table, with a large ventilation hood above it and wondered what the heck that was all about. It turns out it was an old bbq. and as charming as it seemed at first, I’d recommend you choose another table, because 3 out of our seated 7 managed to ‘crown’ themselves with that hanging obstruction at one point or other. The décor is pretty campy. Do you know what a troll is? it’s not the person who irritates you online, no-o-o, it’s a gnome– like character seen in these pic’ts.
Let’s just say The Shady Tree is partly a troll museum. You spend half the time trying to figure out all the stuff going on in the diorama’s up on the walls, and the other half bobbing your head around to catch all the games going on the multitude of tele’s. The serving staff are well informed and obviously fans of the place they work. They’re pretty good about special needs diets(there were two Celiac’s and a diabetic in our group.) The bus boys were kind of brisk, swooping up plates before you put your fork down so they could catch the start of the Canucks game I assume, but that’s okay. It’s all good. Now I just realized that I ate at a place called Shady Island, and now I’ve eaten at the Shady Tree. wh-a-a-a-h? what shade of weird is that?

Stopped in for a bite on my way to whistler, very nice pub with large windows and views of the mountains and sporting events on tv. I had a good experience, good service no sticky tables and I didn’t try the ketchup. I ordered a grilled Salmon sandwich which was rather good, and some beer which was just OK. I ordered some sweet potato fires with the sandwich and they were great, crispy and super tasty.
