The women ( supervisor ) at the front desk is horrible. She should not be working with the public. She is abusive to her staff and very confrontational. I could not breath through my mask because I have lung issues from covid. She screamed at me and called the police. All I could do is swear at her. I went back to apologize. She said I could apologize but still threatened to call the RCMP. She is bad for Fabric land business. If she is that volatile with customers I am sure that she bullies her staff .

St. Albert location. The employees in this store are horrid! The male working the fabric cutting table was the only decent human being employed here and he just seemed so beaten down by the non-human control freaks that work here, I felt SO bad for him. This chain will not be getting any more of my business and my business depends on a steady supply of materials. Such a shame to employ people to deal with the public who so obviously should not be.

Came in and a very nice lady by the name of Perri helped me find everything I needed to make a beard for the Unilocal Lumberjack party tonight! I scored some great clearance stuff and was in and out in no time. Although, the Star Wars fleece just might make me come back to try a no sew knot blanket!

This is an excellent Fabricland! I visited on the recommendation of a fellow cosplayer, who said that the store had plenty of stock to choose from and didn’t get as busy as some of the other Fabriclands in the city. She was right – I was able to find the perfect types of fabric for my latest cosplay, in the perfect colours. I found matching thread that was ideal, as well as a pin that I was having difficulty finding elsewhere. The ladies were very helpful at both the cutting tables and the till, and I left feeling completely satisfied with my experience. For cosplayers or home seamstresses, this is a great hidden gem in St. Albert(10 minutes from the north side of Edmonton). I’ll be back!

Was here twice today. Being generous with 3 stars. I don’t understand why they make you wait in line for the till so long? They need to speed up the process. For example, items that have barcodes should be scanned! Everything is still«punched» into the till, fine for fabric, but when I have a bunch of misc. notions, it would be great if they could scan them. Also, I still believe a «take a number» machine would benefit greatly. Think: the deli at The Italian Centre Anyways, believe it or not, it was quieter there on a Tuesday evening rather than a Tuesday morning. Staff are helpful… although they were all«huddled» this evening sitting & chatting. I have a thing about working retail and sitting… not good in my books. PS — Still hate«membership pricing» I always leave feeling like I was scammed. Wish there was an alternative fabric store close to me, but unfortunately there aren’t many of these types of shops anymore.
