Have you ever had a burger at Shake Shack in NYC? If not, get on a plane and go have one. If that’s not an option, just get in your car and drive to Jack’s Burger Shack in St. Albert. It’s the next best thing. It’s about as close as I’ve found to a Shake Shack burger anywhere, and I eat a lot of burgers in a lot of cities. The burger is perfectly seasoned high quality meat, simple fresh ingredients, and an awesome bun. No need for fancy toppings, just keep it simple with cheese, tomato, lettuce, pickles, ketchup, mustard, and Jack sauce. Add bacon if you like bacon. The fries are great. The service is great. Jack’s Burger Shack is awesome. Best burger in Edmonton area. For reference, my fav burgers in order of preference are: 1) Jack’s Burger Shack 2) The Next Act 3) Five Guys 4) Burger’s Priest Go get one!

I haven’t had a good burger in a long time, Jack’s changed that. I am thoroughly impressed. The best part about the burger was it didn’t leave you with the gross feeling that all your arteries were clogging. It was very light, while still very flavourful. The fries were downright crispy deliciousness. As for the shakes, if I could’ve tried them all I would have! Because the Italian Stallion was so yummy. Price wise I found it relatively inexpensive. 2 burgers, 1 shake, and a side of fries came to $ 26. For an extra couple bucks it is well worth coming here instead of some fast food chain. And there service was very fast, I think we waited 5 minutes for our food. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because there is something to be said about the ambiance of the place. The inside leaves a bit to be desired, I found it stuffy, and a little claustrophobic. Their patio is lovely if you can dine out there, but with winter approaching patio season is coming to a close. But that wouldn’t stop me from coming to Jack’s again, and it shouldn’t stop you either. This place was exquisite. I certainly will be back.

Fantastic burgers! The Inferno burger with an order of «Jacked Up Fries» is a great treat on a summer afternoon. Outdoor seating when the weather is nice is a huge plus. Interior seating is a bit cramped, and you may have to share a table or wait for a spot to open up. The atmosphere is pretty simple, but it works. Jack’s Burger Shack is well worth visiting.

Ken says 5 stars! It was busy but the food was fresh and came out fast. Te five year old ate a whole burger and that never happens. We tried the Shroom burger(standard with Boursin and mushrooms) and the Hangover(beef party, pickles, ketchup and mustard between 2 grilled cheese buns) and the poutine. Immediately followed by working out double afterwards, but it was soooo worth it! Would drive out here for a burger again!!! We’ll have to try the Nutella milkshake next time ;) Mmmmm so good!

When I go to St. Albert and I have any amount of time, I’m going to Jack’s burger shack. I love all there burgers but my favourite is the Shroom burger it has that herb and garlic Boursin cheese on it and it’s like Daaaaaaaang good! I really enjoy their shakes a lot! They have a cola shake, it’s great! Oh yes and they have a malt vinegar aioli that comes with their fries! It’s delicious! My one suggestion is to get maybe one fries for two ppl because they’re pretty big. They only reason they don’t get a 5 out of 5 is because they sometimes don’t have enough seats but what are they gonna do? It’s a busy place!

Reaffirmed what I believed to be the my favourite place for a burger and shake. Had the hangover(9 $) and compared it to the Vatican(11 $+) at Burgers priest. Essentially both have a grilled cheese bun. And although the Vatican has two patties and is a very good burger, the patty is just better at Jacks. Ultimately, this is still the my favourite place for burgers. The darth vader shake was as delicious as ever. Not mention the atmosphere is very chill suburbia. And I like that! I wish Jack’s was in downtown Edmonton, but perhaps for my wallet it is best that it isn’t. :)

Yummy! Came back to Jack’s burger shack with a group of fabulous Unilocalers for Arc’s fabulous Burger Quest! The All Shook Up Burger was DELISH with peanut butter and bacon! I think a dollop of grape jelly on it would take it to the next level! LOVED the garlic aioli with the fries… Oh. Em. Gee. Get in your car RIGHT now to go have their fries! And the milkshakes today were perfection! Clearly my first visit was a fluke — they totally hit the spot this time! And to their credit, my first visit was during their infancy. I highly recommend both the Darth Vader & Creamsicle! Mad props for Jack’s sourcing lots of local and only using the Best of the Best! Looking forward to their expansion opening up into the space next door! Jack’s, you’ve made a fan out of me :-) PS — Cutest takeout/leftover bags ever!
