Wellness Within

I have been here many times for massages and have to say its pretty damn amazing. I have had the BEST massage I have ever had from an RMT named Caraline. She is fantastic! Jen is very great to I go to see both! ALL the staff there are so friendly and accommodating. I usually come in one to two times a month to get a massage and I always leave so relaxed and in such a great mood! I manage a spa myself and have to say how well run and organized they all are. Thanks to all the staff there at Wellness Within! Keep up the fantastic work!

Went there with a friend for a massage and facial. While I had the massage my friend was having her first facial ever. Then in between treatments we meet in the relaxation room. I asked her how her facial was? She was impartial about it. She went on to tell me the esthetician left her alone in the room for what felt like a long time. Having been a esthetician myself I was shocked and told her that was not right. So when it was time for my facial I couldn’t believe when I was left alone. I looked at the time and proceeded to wonder how long I would be left to lay there? 20 MINUTES!!! When she returned I was over it and let her know I just wanted to leave. I did not pay to lay with a mask on my face alone in a room I can do that at home. Plus my friend who was left alone was having her first facial, so what if she had a adverse reaction? She laid there wondering what is going on? But can you imagine if the esthetician was, ok see you in 20 MINUTES. SO IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A FACIAL WHERE YOU ARE NOT LEFT ALONE DONT GO HERE!!! Having been a esthetician and had many treatments at spas while you are masking the professional should be working on you messaging something unless it’s a clinical treatment. I don’t usually do Unilocal reviews but I was left speechless. Plus the esthetician did not even analyze our skin. She just asked both of us what our concerns were. I know mine because I know my skin type and used to work with EMINENCE but my friend is not a trained professional. So why is the professional going off what she says then leaving the room to get the necessary products and returning to start the treatment without once looking at her skin or even feeling it??? What are we paying for? Plus my friend thought she had oily skin and I let her her know that she does not.
I must say though the massage we had by the therapist was wonderful. She had a great touch and it was very relaxing. I believe her name is Kimberly. She was great. The atmosphere was nice and relaxing. Too bad it was ruined by bad protocol for the FACIAL.

I love this place. The owners are local and care about their customers. The therapists are all wonderful and take great care of their clients. The receptionists especially are just fabulous! Check out this beautiful space and see for yourself!

I had the opportunity to visit Wellness Within several times this week during their fall schedule preview.
It is located in the lower level of the Enjoy Centre next to Amaranyth grocery store.
The location is beautiful — stunning really! I have shopped the upstairs many times as a gardening enthusiast but this past week was my first visit to the Wellness Within portion.
There are 2 yoga rooms — a sky room and earth room.
The sky room is a glorious round room surrounded by beautiful silks that remind me of saris and sky lights above and a large window overlooking a field.
There are no mirrors in the room and the instructors encouraged us to focus on listening to our bodies.
The room is stocked with extra yoga mats, straps, blankets, yoga blocks, and foam squares (for sitting, etc.). I’ve been to quite a few yoga studios and never seen one with this many accessories easily available — very inviting and welcoming.
There was also a complementary tea bar with several selections.
The washrooms and change rooms were spacious and beautiful.
The Wellness Within offers other spa services and has a small boutique with earth friendly makeup and clothing.
As far as Yoga goes, this place is awesome! The instructors I had were friendly, knowledgeable, and encouraging.
The current schedule offers many variations of Yoga including Hatha, Prenatal, Pramika, Sunrise, Kid’s, Slow & Strong Flow, Deep Flow, Power Jam, Relax & Renew, Vinyasa, Akhandra, Nidra, Yin & Yang, and Therapeutic.
They offer drop in classes, punch cards ranging from $ 17 to $ 11 a class as well as reasonable monthly unlimited memberships.
My review is based upon the Yoga portion of Wellness Within — but the store looks absolutely beautiful as well!

I like to try out many different spas to see how good they are and this was my first time at Wellness Within (St. Albert) and I was quite impressed! Decided to try the luxury pedicure — the leg massage was great, the shaping was well done (no weird angles, nice and smooth), cuticles were removed appropriately (no nicks or cuts), and I love my coral coloured nails. Also the parrafin was just the right temperature — not the typical burn the skin off your legs! This spa is going to be a keeper for me… look forward to trying the other services!

I had been to Wellness Within when they were still in their west end location for massages so I thought I would try the spa at their new location. I wish I had made a different choice. The receptionist was very friendly and greeted me right away and the lady doing my pedicure came out and also greeted me right away which was a nice change. While she was filing my nails, I got a sharp pain in two of my toes and they stung pretty bad during the rest of the service. When I got home, I found that I had two rather large cuts on the tips of my big toe and toe right beside it. I had to bandage my very red and swollen toes for 3 days for three days before I could get my shoes on without them hurting. Thank goodness for polysporin so that they didn’t get infected. I work a desk job so I sit at a desk all day and don’t do any sports. I got my pedicure on Saturday morning and by Tuesday morning, 90% of the nail polish was gone off of one of my feet and every toe on my other foot was already chipped. I contacted the spa with concerns about my nail polish coming off so fast and to mention the cuts on my toes. That was a few days ago and I stil haven’t received a response. For the price you pay for a pedicure, I’d expect the nailpolish to stay on longer (it usually lasts a couple months when I get other pedicures done elsewhere) or at least for the spa to call/​email you back when you have concerns. Despite that the leg massage that I received was wonderful, I will never return to this spa and will not be recommending it to any of my friends. They obviously do not take e]client concerns seriously and I can go elsewhere and pay the same price and get way better service.

How can you not LOVE this place? It’s a one stop shop! The staff are very friendly and helpful. I have done yoga here and also have had a massage… The change rooms, bathrooms, and service rooms are clean and beautiful and there is a very welcoming, homey feel the moment you walk into the spa. The yoga teachers are fabulous and the space is unique in that the rooms are in a half-​sun shape rather than the plain old rectangle/​square so you feel more part of the action. The clothes and other goods for sale are quite reasonably priced and very nice. Being here also gives you an excuse to check out the rest of the Enjoy Centre which is also very nice… So far, I have had nothing but good experiences here! :)
