First time I’ve been there was Thursday evening.
Awesome. I was floored with the kind service and menu options. The atmosphere makes me feel like I’m eating in Dublin.
Their breakfast? Best in the city and fair priced. I found my new breakfast spot! Can’t wait to go back, they’ll see me often.

I really love the breakfast here, I go here two-​three times a month, more if possible. I find the wait staff to be very nice and have had only a couple bad experiences here but that happens anywhere at times.

Been frequenting the Gov’Nor for over 10 years and am always pleased with the experience. Washrooms (and therefore I assume the kitchen also) is always very clean. Makes me feel like I’m in an old English pub. Food is always good with the exception of the onion rings.

Had a late night meal at The Guv’nor Pub, and walked away very full and impressed. The atmosphere is great, with lots of knick-​knacks and plenty of ‘old world’ charm. The food was good, and portions were big (we split the Guv’nor’s Feast and weren’t able to finish it). Service was amazing. We definitely plan on going back.

This is my favourite place for breakfast in St. John’s, everything is so delicious! I recommend trying the breakfast skillet, it has scrambled eggs, hash browns, cheese and hollandaise sauce plus you can add in a lot of different meats and veggies (for cost of course!) The wait time for our food did take a while, but it was well worth it — and the staff were really nice!

Be warned, the wait time for any service is unreal. It was a Saturday night when I arrived at this pub, the décor is very Irish/​Pub-​ish as I was told by my table. The food was alright, but the wait time is very notice-​able.
They do have a handful of traditional cooked meals, but I couldn’t bare the wait for my next adventure.
