Spent the day bicycling the area on a beautiful fall day with all the trees in yellow and red. My cycling partner insisted that we stop at Le Tomifobia for lunch and I am glad we did. It was a perfect country setting for this small french restaurant. The owner showed us pictures of her father as a young bicycle racer in France. We followed her suggestion of rabbit sausage crepes which was outstanding. I can’t wait to bring my wife back to this great little restaurant.

A little gem just over the border in Stanstaed/Beebe Plain-run by a husband and wife couple-their specialty dishes are rabbit and crepes-very nice wine list and beautifully decorated dining room and outside porch. We go there 4 – 5 times in the summer and in February when skiing.

Great little restaurant just over the border in stanstead… Excellent wine list, great crepes. The place is in an old house that feels like a bed and breakfast.

Since I do not speak French I will do my best in my native tongue of English to describe this lovely family owned restaurant were the tasty French cuisine is as wonderful as the charming proprietors. LeTomifobia is less than a mile past the Vermont/Canadian border but the moment you enter the home/gardens and restaurant of Marie and Michele(with John Claude) you will think you are in a village in Burgundy, France. This is not just due to the country setting, where you can eat on a terrace that is surrounded by their vegetable and flower gardens; it is that the owners are actually from France. By the time your meal is over, you will feel that you just left your family. That is if your family is warm, charming and able to create some exceptional meals served with excellent wines. I love this place!
