A tasty treat if you’re in Steveston. Loved the orange crush screamer, like having a creamsicle, but better.

Now this is more bang for your buck unlike a certain trendy place in gastown(you know who you are). It’s more about quantity over quality, however, now that the hot summer is approaching this is welcomed any time. Been here twice and the customer service has been awesome. Expect long line ups out the door on a hot day.

The screamers here aren’t as good as the original ones from Danny’s but they’re satisfying enough. Normally they only have 3 or 4 flavours, with the pineapple dole whip being a permanent one. The pine apple dole whip was just okay compared to the other ones and seemed heavier and creamier than the other ones.(Not exactly a good or bad thing) Anyways, they only open in the summer but you should swing by if you’re not willing to line up for frozen yoghurt at Timothy’s!

Screamers is a slurpee and soft serve stand located just off the wharf at Steveston. Their specialty is called a screamer which is a slurpee and ice cream combo. Yes, they are really good. But, the highlight is their pineapple soft serve aka DOLEWHIP. Screamers always carries two flavors of soft serve. Vanilla and something else. The something else could be chocolate, or a berry flavor, but more often than not it is pineapple and is exactly the same as «dole whip» that you can find sold in Disneyland and Hawaii. The dole whip is five stars, the prices of everything move the review to 3 stars.

The best… never a bad idea when in the area. Yes dannys has them too but then you have to go to a corner store. Slurpee and soft serve all in one!

If I lived closer to this place it would be a bad thing financially for me because I’d go there all the time. I love screamers and it’s one of the few places in Greater Vancouver area that actually has them. They also have Dole Whip which I’ve only ever had in Hawaii before so that was also an added bonus. Great place, I’d go here again and again.

My friends have always recommended that I get a screamer if I ever head out to Stevenson. I have no clue where this Screamer place was located, but on Satursday, after a super yummy lunch at Pajo’s, I decided to look for the place. Stevenson was packed with tourists, locals and dogs and since I was seriously clueless as to where to get a Screamer, I stopped almost every person at the Pier asking«Do you know where Screamers is?/ Where is Screamers?». A few people starred at me like I was losing my mind as I couldn’t even describe to them what a screamer was. I found the place after 10 minutes of searching. Screamers is located in the washroom complex beside the Cannery. I was so proud to have found it because it was so small and hidden. Screamer = Slushee and Soft ice cream(WHAT!?!) I love mutated creations(like the Cronuts = Donuts + Croissants) and the screamer didn’t disappoint especially on a hot day. I had the root beer slushee with pinapple/vanilla soft icecream. Pretty special I might say — everything tasted great on its own and mixed together. A small is $ 4(tax included), which is very reasonable. You have to try it!

If it were up to me, this place would be open 365 days of the year. There’s no better place to find a refreshing and delightful treat like the screamers that Screamers Soft Serve and Treats serves up. What’s a scream? Serious question? I’d encourage you to find out for yourself, but since I’m in a writing mood today, it’s a layered cup of soft serve vanilla ice cream AND.(wait for it). slurpee! That’s right. Two of your favourite summer treats merged into one dance of delight. My girlfriend and I always get the rootbeer flavoured slurpee, but there are other options such as orange and cream soda. Screamers Soft Serve and Treats aren’t open for most of the year, so pay them a visit any chance you get because it’s really a rare treat!

Move over, ice-cream. I’ll be screamin’ for these screamers! Here’s the question I asked, you’ll probably ask & foodies pretend not to have to ask: Q) What’s a screamer? A) Screamer = soft-serve ice-cream + slurpee This layered concoction of summer’s most popular treats is a devilish tribute to excess. Kinda like deep-fried candy bars. Necessary? No. Delicious? 1000% YES. 1st bite: DIVINE. The vanilla soft-serve more than lived up to their«minimum 10% butterfat» claim. Milky, silky & a suave complement to the gritty crunch of the juicy slurpee. But don’t you fret, vanilla snobs. They’ve got you covered with their rotating ice-cream & slurpee flavour line-ups! Dole soft-serve ice-cream = pineapple, chocolate, raspberry(all lactose-free, low-fat & cholesterol-free) Slurpee = lime crush, orange crush, root beer, Pepsi & more! However, gotta dock a star for their scatterbrained service. — paid $ 10.75 for a $ 3.75(after tax) small screamer & got $ 4 back in change. — ordered a pineapple/vanilla twist & ended up with only vanilla. Lucky for them, enjoying a screamer in the sun by the water, rights all wrongs. Unlucky for you plastic-lovers, it is CASHONLY!
