Where do I start… 1) my first visit, I was told my teeth were excellent, no cavities, no decay. But, oh, there’s a tiny soft spot that shows up on the X-ray. Let’s drill it out and put in a filling! I had never experienced tooth pain in my entire life until they«fixed» my tooth. It was fine, but now I still have problems with it, nearly 5 years later. On this first visit, I asked to have sealant painted on my molars to protect them. The staff said they would do it next time. 2) I came back regularly for a while, but was never happy with the dentist. He never really looked in my mouth. He would look at the X-Rays and ask the hygienist how things looked. I asked for sealants each visit. I was told each time they would do it on my next visit. 3) I didn’t go back for 2 years, as I found it useless. Why go for a checkup when there’s no real check being done. When I did go back, I didn’t see the dentist at all. Apparently he wasn’t even in the building. I’m not sure if this was an administrative error(the front desk is useless) or the dentist just didn’t feel like showing up. 4) my husband went in later and found out there was a new dentist.(I will let him tell his own story, but I assure you it’s ten times worse than mine). I thought I would give it one more try. Why I thought I should do this, I have no idea. Hindsight is twenty-twenty. I asked for sealants to be put on the schedule, and to make sure the dentist was actually there. When I sat down, without even looking in my mouth, and without any X-rays being taken, the dentist said he was going to do 4 fillings on my teeth. I said no way, unless there is an actual cavity with decay, he’s not drilling into my teeth. Besides, he hadn’t even seen my mouth. This was my first visit with the new dentist. He kept fighting me saying they could turn into cavities and need fillings if we don’t watch them. I actually walked out. There’s no way I’m going back there. They are always super quiet, and there’s definitely a reason. Don’t trust your or your family’s teeth to these people. They’re just looking for money doing completely unnecessary procedures.
