Alice Toys

Unexpected little toy store in the Semiahoo mall. I like supporting local, independent stores so this is a great store to come and shop if you also like to do that.
I think the store owner takes pride in having toys that are made in Europe since most of the toys you get now days are made in China.
Good selection of Bruder trucks and I am pretty sure the prices were pretty on par with other major stores.

Cute little toy store with a cuter name! The outside is decorated with paraphernalia from «Alice» and the items inside are quite cute, too – just as you would expect from a toy store bearing the name of the mischievous little girl. It also bears the name of some pretty important people who I know, too, so of course, i was excited to discover this cute li’l shop.
Dolls are sold and marketed from Spain and the (Polish?) proprietor will proudly share that he is the exclusive Canadian distributor of these said dolls. And they do look cute, but if you’re with an American Girl doll fan then they’re a bit of a tough sell. They sell other neat baby dolls for toddlers and a few other cute toys and things, too.
Overall, not a bad little spot in Semiahmoo mall, if not the only toy store around. With all of the loving grandparents in the neighbourhood, I imagine they do quite well. While I wouldn’t go out of my way to shop here, when in the ‘hood with the cutest girl ever, it’s probably my number one stop (after the manicure-​pedicure shop across the street, of course). I suggest that you make it yours too, especially if you have the luxury of bringing your very own «Alice» with you.
