We enjoyed very good sushi dinner. We ordered the Aomori combo, Newton box, a couple tamago nigiri and a chopped scallop nigiri.
The service was slow to start. We could not understand why we did not get our tea right away. Turned out tea was being steeped while the spring rolls were being fried. Tea arrived with a couple complementary veggie spring rolls. Bonus points for the very hot tea and spring rolls. The spring roll was filled with mostly mushy potato. Nice gesture.
The rest of the food arrived shortly after. The BC roll had cucumber which added a nice texture. I noticed the scallop nigiri and California rolls did not contain much mayo compared to other restaurants. Only complaint is the chicken don could have had more sauce.
There was only one server running around the busy restaurant. So service was limited to how fast she was running around. Some of the tables were not cleared of dirty dishes as she was trying to attend to customers coming and going.

Good food and quick service. The red dragon roll was tasty as well as presented beautifully. The spicy salmon sashimi was good, would have like to see a greater salmon to vegetable mix though but not out of line.

Went here during the afternoon as I was looking for a sushi place on my way out and Unilocal led me here! It had the most reviews for this area so I thought I’d check it out. We were seated fairly quickly and the waitress came around often to see if we needed anything. I got the crispy roll and the chicken teriyaki roll. If a place messes up a simple chicken teriyaki roll they lose all their stars in my opinion, luckily this place made it just right! The crispy roll was also great! It was also really reasonable (less than$ 12 for a meal. Whose gunna complain!) The only reason I’m giving it three stars opposed to four or five. Is that it didn’t blow me away but it didn’t disappoint at the same time! So a neutral 3 stars!

Great food! I’d for sure come back here again. It’s nearby and convenient for me. My boyfriend brought me here after he had gone here once with his family and told me how great it was. After looking it up on Unilocal,it had few but phenomenal reviews, so I had quite high expectations, which is why I didn’t think it was as amazing as people claimed it was. They for sure had good food, and the price is an almost range. If I want good sushi nearby, then this will be my go to place.

Very average. Surrey doesn’t have a lot of options for good Japanese, so if you’re around Newton, I’d say this is the one of the better spots for lunch.

Great value. I had the Aomori special. The Dynamite roll was a little loose, but tasty. The California roll was great, the meal also includes miso soup and your choice of 3 gyoza or ebi sunomono, all for $ 8.95. What is really great though is the service. Friendly, attentive. What a nice surprise.

I work in the area and wanted to try this restaurant for lunch. It was a nice surprise that I got so much food for the price! And the customer service was excellent. I really recommended this sushi place!!! I will definitely order from here again!

Had lunch today. The Spinach Gomae was excellent although a little less peanut-​y than I’ve had before. The Ebi Sunomono, Tempura, and Salmon Sashimi were outstanding — very fresh and tastefully presented and the tempura was light and crispy. The California roll and the Negitoro were fresh and creamy and the Unagi and American rolls were perfect. There was a little too much red chili sauce on the Spicy Salmon and Spicy Tuna Rolls although the rolls themselves were excellent. Service was perfect. I think I’ve found a new favourite sushi place close to home! A few more trips are definitely called for.

New favourite sushi place in Surrey — specialities rolls are great and really well presented. Plus unlike most other places the service was great — super friendly and happily customized orders. Starting to find surrey has some of the best sushi in the lower mainland, and this place is a must try.

This place is close to the office so I eat lunch here at least 2x a week, amazing $ 5.95 lunch specials– miso/​tea/​rolls/​gyoza is my go to… sashimi is excellent as is the ebi sunumono salad. Kind of sad its finally on Unilocal,the secret is out! Nice quiet spot for a break in the area. Michelle the server is always friendly and brings tea over immediately, plus they have a punch card– buy 10 meals and get a free one so its like getting a hot 4 pc. lunch for $ 5.40!

4 of us arrived at 7:30 on a Sat night and quickly sat down in a cozy booth and flipped through an extensive menu. Dinner boxes were limited to 3 types and we each chose one… 1 Green box (tofu) and 3 Newton (chicken) boxes. We also ordered some salmon and tuna nigiri sushi and a dynamite and spicy tuna rolls. 10 seconds after we ordered she came back with a complimentary 4 piece roll (that was awesome) to wet our appetite. Miso and shrimp and prawn sunimono arrived quickly along with the gyoza that came with boxes. The extra sushi we ordered came next on one big platter. Then the boxes came. Tea was refilled every 10 minutes. We had some leftovers and she took them and packaged them all up with a smile. The sushi was very good. Everything was very fresh. We all left very full with leftovers… for about $ 15 each. Really reasonable… and really good food and service.

Best Sushi you could find anywhere also a very reasonable place! They remember you by face and is a very nice family environment with private eating areas and friendly staff! I highly recommend this local joint.
