Balanced Canine

We were looking for a place to board our dog during a family vacation. A quick search on google brought us to this location.
1) The location on their website did not match the location they told us to drop off the dog. Therefore, the grassy pictures on the website did not match the dirt/​wood mulch dropoff site.
2) Per dicussions with Shelly, the dogs stay outdoors during the day but she brings them indoors at night. This was important for us as we had an indoor dog and were concerns over the conditions. When picking up our dog after 1 week, our dogs collar/​leash were half chewed through. Our white dog, was covered in dirt and filth in addition to cuts/​scabs. I can only assume that he hurt himself in the cage or one of the other dogs bit him.
3) During our trip, we also tried to call Shelly to get an update. She did not answer any phone calls or return our voice/​text messages; until the 6^th days with a reply «he’s fine…»
This was our first experience with boarding and telling our friends and colleagues, they told us this is not standard practice and is unacceptable. They recommend that we post here on Unilocal (as there are no other reviews) to information others. We will not be returning here.
