My fiancé purchased a «custom made» tuxedo from this office in May 2014. He was measured and the jacket and pants were ready within a week. I was very surprised with how fast it took. That should have been a warning sign right then. My first instinct when he tried it on was that it looked terrible. I asked the girl who worked there if that’s the way it’s supposed to look and she assured me it is all done to measurements. I was suspicious for a long time and finally I took my fiancé to a custom tailor shop to have it looked at. Was I surprised, there was nothing about the jacket or the pants that fit. It was as if they took something from the inventory without any regard and gave it to us. The list of alterations we had to make include:
1. The shoulders were too big and had to be resized.
2. The width of the jacket was too wide with 3 to 4 inches to spare on either side. It’s ironic that the style of the tuxedo was «slim fit»
3. The jacket is also too long and had to be shortened.
Basically, the jacket is at least 3 sizes bigger than what it is supposed to be.
4. The pants were so lose at the waist, my fiancé bought suspenders to keep it up.
5. Even after altering the waist, the pants were still too wide, so each leg has to be altered.
6. The pants were also too long.
I am so incredulous that this has happened. Why would you advertise yourself as a custom tuxedo store, with a logo of «designed for you with fit» when it’s the farthest thing from the truth. If you can’t staff your stores with professional tailors, then don’t give out false advertising. I feel so cheated, I don’t ever want to go back there again. I don’t even want to complain because I don’t want to have anything to do with that company ever again.
