First time ever to try this coffee shop today October 16, 2015 due to craving of my friend for an ice coffee. I ordered a medium ice cap noticed their price was ALMOST the same as Starbucks I can’t believe it -. I am very disappointed with the service it’s not very busy when I got there only one guy ahead of me was there — so I thought I will get my order next but then when a bunch of people came and the person whose doing a coffee knew them I noticed she wasn’t doing my coffee but instead she was doing their coffee I can’t believe it — and I talked to the cashier who got my order and she can’t even explained to me properly and didn’t even apologized. And the coffee I bought for my friend was terrible — the taste was so bad and she can’t even drink it — just wasted my money! I can say mcdonald coffee is way better than this location service is sucks unless you are one of their friends hanging out there. One thing I should done is to report them to the manager but since I was rushing for my class I haven’t thought of it. No star sucks but I have no choice but to put 1 ! Service is sucks! First come first service! Customer is always right. Practice your customer service skills if you have any!

Went to blenz with my friends during our study date for the first time and it was a very good experience. I was given a friendly greeting from the barista. But when I looked at the menu I was a little overwhelmed by how many items they had on there. I asked the barista what she think I should get to keep me up to study and that was sweet, and she gave me a good suggestion I tried out their café mocha with white milk and whipped cream. It had a nice rich flavour. Not too sweet and not too bitter like some café mochas I’ve had in the past. The serves was fast and accurate, which was great because I needed as much studying time as I could get. For dining in, it had an average amount of seating. If you need a pick me up in between classes I suggest the student that go to this SFU/Stenburg location to try the café mocha :)

& I thought the people lingering around VPL were sketchballs… you should see the atmosphere in front of this Blenz. Anyways I hadn’t really seen SFU Surrey in person, as I rarely go to Surrey, but its a really beautiful building! So Blenz was out of almond milk when I went to get my strawberry tea latte, I was really bummed… And soybeans are my nemesis so I don’t dare drink soy milk… I ended up getting a hibiscus tea, because tea made of flowers is y u m m y… but not the tea here! They put sweetener in it which I wasn’t aware of, and it tasted like absolute crap, shittier than their coffee if you can believe it. I was short on time so I couldn’t get anything else.)’: Oh, additionally the woman didn’t look like I was a crazie when I ordered 4 supremo milk hot choco’s with whipped cream on a hot summers day… I actually got the orders wrong hah! And she didn’t look like I was a weirdo when I called to get the pin for a debit card I was using right in front of her, isn’t that a bit sketch? Shouldn’t you ask for me for some ID miss? I will be back, if I am in the area because really it is the only coffee shop that is passable and probably the only coffee shop in Surrey that serves almond milk. Oh, and also I will be back to people-watch the characters outside. :P

Being a tea drinker, I have nothing to say about their coffee. Their strawberry tea, however, is excellent. If you are planning to sit down and drink your tea there, ask for them to serve it in a ceramic pot rather than a tea bag and paper cup. Once you’ve drained your pot, you can bring it to the front for them to re-fill it with hot water. Basically you get more tea for your money this way. I’m guilty of people watching here, and it really is one of the best locations to do this at. You have the skytrain station across the street letting off all sorts of people. Then there are the students, the shoppers, and Surrey’s «finest» walking past Blendz and into the mall. I’ve never seen this place packed enough to fill up all the seating, but I would think that in between classes this place could be swarming. I’ve only gotten access to wireless access once and it kept kicking me off(that’s with the code they gave me) and the rest of the time they never handed out a code. Finally, if you are here in mid-afternoon, you might see the local fire fighters park their big red trucks in the fire lane and stop in for coffee. They then monopolize all the chairs to sit with each other, but no one minds because they could be putting a fire out at your house tomorrow and you’d be a jerk for saying something at the coffee shop the day before. And wouldn’t that be awkward.

The best location for a coffee shop meeting place in Surrey as it’s quite spacious, has free wifi and is close to the sky train station.
