Location is not closed! Was just closed temporarily during renovations. Anyways I use to love this place and it would be my go to for late night food in the area but since they reopened I’ve had nothing but bad experiences with them. The 2 stars is because I like the food. I’ve ordered take out many times in the past and the 2 most recent times were bad experiences. 1) They gave me food that I didn’t order and 2) They said my food wasn’t ready yet, took my payment and said to have a seat and wait, waited 15 minutes and asked for an update. and it was behind the cashier the whole time. Then asked me for my payment when I already paid. Such an annoying experience and a waste of my time I don’t know if they’ve hired new people since they renovated but although the place is nice, their close to nonexistent service is going downhill. Won’t be returning anytime soon and hope they get their shit together.

I don’t know why this location is flagged as closed when really, they’re just closed for renovations. I walked past a few times during their renovation & it looked really nice inside. About time they renewed this place, their couches with so ripped up & they had webs of dust all over their ceiling. A worker told me they will be reopening sometime between May 11th-13th, I’m excited because I miss their bubble tea drinks! I love getting their black pepper beef stir fried noodles, beef soup noodle, pork & chive dumplings, deep friend squid feet, & Hawaiian fried rice with ketchup. Seems to me they give a bigger portion for dine-in customers because when I get take-outs it’s always 2⁄3rd of what I would get in the restaurant. The servers are also kind of oblivious when it comes to customers’ needs, it’s always a struggle trying to wave a server down.

The wife and I came here on a Friday night we waited the hostess did see us as we are sitting right in front of her a group of Asians come in and she acknowledges them right away. So I guess my money is not welcome here. We got up and left the best part is because of this shit service we found Bubble 88 the store is cleaner cheaper and great value for my money. Thank you Bubble World for the shit service or else I wouldn’t have found Bubble 88! :)

The food is good but service was below average. Let’s start with the food. I ordered the fish filet, kimchi fried rice, and chicken nuggets. The fish filet and chicken nuggets were both flavourful and crispy without being too oily. The kimchi fried rice was tasty but small in portion compared to other similar restaurants. The bubble tea I ordered was the aloe Vera green tea with grass jelly and aloe Vera bits and it was really good, quite sweet but I didn’t mind it. It had a very refreshing taste to it. Unfortunately the service here is never very good. I never expect much when I go to busy places like this one but at bubble world they are consistently dismal. Hard to flag down a waitress and they always seem annoyed when you have questions or ask for things(ex. A glass of water or extra sauce) etc. But other than that food is good and it’s a good place to get your bbt fix.

We loved the bubble tea here! Order a taro milk tea with ½ pearls and coconut jellies and also a lychee & strawberry slushy, both with coconut jellies. They were yummy! We didn’t know they also serve food. Have to come back here next time we visit! Chiao!

It’s the only place open past 10pm. I always try to give it the benefit of the doubt but ugh. 2 Stars because the bubble tea is okay. Food-wise… No. I ordered fried fish. It was still raw in some parts. I felt my stomach flip. I told the waitress and she came back… Same fish just redipped in oil with less fish. I remember because I cut some filets to make sure it was cooked. It was still raw in the centre… This goes for another round and they eventually took it off my bill with a lot of attitude too. Terrible service. Bad food. Ok bubble tea.

Usually not my first choice, but this is just one of the few restaurants open in Surrey past 11pm. So it’s usually busy on the weekend and on late nights, but service is usually quick, so waiting long is not really an issue. Portions are satisfyingly large, but bubble tea is just adequate– unless you’re getting a fresh fruit bubble tea, most of the flavours are just too sweet and overly food-coloured. However, if you like deep fried food, their snacks and some of their combos or «chef’s specials» are adequate… It’s more of a place to go to transition to sobriety if anything.

Cash only! Flies everywhere in the washroom. Poor customer service. The server misheard when i said taro bubble tea and brought me a fresh tara tea. She had wrong attitude about switching it. I something on their new menu that had melted chesse. Gross! Tastes like caned tomato sause on top of rich with baked cheese. I took one bite put it to the side to take home thinking i could give it some life. The server through it out instead of packing it. Then she went and all the servers were looking at me. Never going back again

The food was alright waiter doesn’t properly listen to our order and double charged my friend. Overall poor service. Served cold rice and found a hair in our food. They replaced it but I guess we ended up paying for it anyways.

Let me start by saying service is just plain terrible. Staff is not friendly or helpful in anyway. That being said the bubble tea is pretty good, the portions are big and there’s a lot of options to choose from. Don’t like that you have to pay extra for pearls since the price is already higher than most places. They don’t accept debit and they don’t have an atm machine.

I was excited to try bubble tea for the first time in Canada. I had my hopes too high. I checked to see if my drinks were ready, and with a rude tone the cashier told me «we don’t give you your drinks, your drinks are right here.» I work at a boba/café so I know what left out boba tastes like, and their boba was a bland mush. Their green bean were crusty bits. I would not recommend coming here.

Always consistent, good menu and good service. It seems always busy but they keep the flow moving and I’ve never waited for my order. Take out is an option too.

Each location seems to make the food a bit differently. This location is always busy even on a weeknight. They should probably update their menus soon as the ones we got were tattered and new prices were written in for the food items. However, I still like the food. The food quality is average. The drinks are okay. Service is average. It is a good late night option for me when I am hungry in Surrey and debating what else to eat. The honeydew slush tasted extremely«it was made from power.» This is what happens when you do not order off the limited fresh fruit section. The deep fried chicken leg was crunchy and flavourful. The noodles in soup that accompanied the chicken was alright. I did not eat the beef noodle soup. I think this is a good late night option for a snack, dessert, drinks or dinner. Prices are still reasonable.

I actually prefer this Bubble World to the one in Burnaby. I’ve had the exact same food at the Burnaby location and this location, and this one is a lot tastier, and the portion sizes are larger! The fish fillet combo is my go to! It comes with 3HUGEE pieces of fish fillet! The batter is crispy, fragrant and super yummy! The tartar sauce that is comes with is seriously addicting! Their Taiwanese salt peppery chicken isn’t bad. The batter is well seasoned but the interior is rather dry. It’s not as good as Pearl Castle’s.

Since I’m from California, I might be a little biased? Or maybe not, but I didn’t really think Bubble World was great. It was good enough to fulfill a craving though. Haven’t been in Canada for a week yet, but I’ve tried the Green Tea Matcha, Passion Fruit Green Tea with boba, Peach Green Tea, Lychee Green Tea with boba and grass jelly, and Earl Grey Milk Tea with red bean. –The green tea’s were ok, I liked the Lychee one the most because it wasn’t too sweet or dense compared to the Passion Fruit or Peach… it straight up tasted like syrup! It didn’t really taste like tea at all. It was so weird… –The Green Tea Matcha slush was ok too. I thought it was an ice cream series? Shouldn’t it tate somewhat milky with a good amount of Matcha? It tasted like powder more than anything else. –The Earl Grey milk tea was pretty good, but the red bean? It really is JUSTREDBEANS! I don’t know about you, but when you drink or eat something sweet, wouldn’t you expect it to be the dessert red bean, instead of regular red bean? I also asked if they had egg pudding, but the waitress just looked at me like I was stupid… so I guess they don’t have it! Overall, my experience was all right. I would come back, but just because it’s convenient.

So is this the only restaurant open after 10pm in Surrey? Located in a giant plaza in Surrey, Bubble World is quite unassuming but once you walk in, it’s like you are in the hippest place in the whole city. The music is turned up a few notches higher than most and if you were to close your eyes, you would think that you are in a club or something. Regardless of its club like atmosphere, let’s talk about the food. I would highly recommend the chicken nuggets here. They are plump, tasty and very proportioned. The bubble tea is all right but I can see why this place is so popular. There are comparable and better places in Richmond, but hey, Richmond is just way too far of a drive from this city.

My go to place for food in Surrey. Expansive menu with loads of variety in terms of drinks and food. Many of the dishes and drinks here are incredibly cheap and affordable. From deep fried dishes to sandwiches, hot-pot to pick up snacks like takoyaki. There is something for everyone on this menu. The diversity in drinks is pretty impressive as well. Milk teas, ice cream«shakes», green teas; the list goes on forever. They offer a ton of choices when it comes to selecting what you’d like to put in your drink– if pearls aren’t your thing, try the mango stars, or the rainbow jelly. The décor is decent, presentable at best, yet nothing to fawn about. One thing I absolutely adore is that they offer a pick up service. I love coming here for lunch, picking up my favorite combination of their deep fried chicken in curry and whatever bubble tea I’m craving that day. Their pick up service is pretty quick too; never had to wait for a long period of time. The place closes pretty late, 1AM on most normal days so grabbing a late dinner here is not a bad choice. Only problem with the place is that it is often busy, and is considered a local hot spot because of how near the place is to Guildford Town Center. You might be left waiting if you’re looking to grab a table during busy hours. Once seated, the service can be pretty bad at times, and I was often ignored until I called one of the waitresses over. However once you do order, food gets to you fast. If anything it is less of a restaurant experience and more of a cafeteria or factory line. Another thing is that they do not offer the lunch special anymore, unlike the other Bubble World spots scattered around Vancouver and Metro Vancouver. Lunch special offered bubble tea and selective dishes for under $ 7! Crazy affordable. Probably removed it from this Bubble World location due to how busy it can get. Another thing, can we stop this trend in Asian establishments where it’s cash only?! We live in the 21st century here. I honestly find this to be a poor business practice and do not understand why places like this continue to do this. The food and drinks they offer are pretty on-spot, and I frequently visit the place because of how cheap their menu is. If you’re looking for a mean bubble tea with loads of choices this is the place to check out.

Service was good, the drinks were delicious, only issue was the Hawaiian fried rice. No bueno! Shrimp was not deveined and the canned pineapple was so soggy! The chicken nuggets always good! Everything was quick even though it was super packed!!! Will be back again, minus the rice!

I had no idea Bubble World had a location in Surrey — then again, I think anything beyond SFU as a vast wasteland afflicted by only mega-chains serving up burgers and pasta. Anyways — this location is pretty busy — not as busy as the Kingsway location, but I guess sufficiently busy considering the lack of bubble tea options in the area. It’s pretty similar to the Kingsway location — the servers are pretty aloof and it’s about ~$ 5 for a beerstein-size glass of bubble tea. This is nice as I tend to slam down drinks(I have yet to master the concept of ‘sipping’) and I usually end up finishing my drink before everyone else at other bubble tea joints. The drinks at Bubble World are large enough so they don’t even have to offer a size upgrade option. And honestly, everything tastes better coming out of a frosty beerstein. Anyways — I normally skip the menu and just default to a coffee & milk tea [yeng yeerng] or black sesame as the Kingsways Bubble World makes pretty solid ones. However, I found a drink on the menu that sounded so retardly stupid that it had to work: Taro & Oreo Milk Tea. A wee bit on the sweet side(should have ask that they held back on the syrup) — but having small Oreo chunks in my taro milk tea was surprisingly good. And they custom made my friend’s favourite that was no longer on the menu: blueberry chocolate smoothie. Just for the location and the inventive flavour pairings — A-OK in my book.
