Bucky’s West Coast Pizzeria

Go for the Spiked Hawaiian or the Firehouse. It’s the family’s favourite pizza place.

Tonight, at my parents, we ordered Pizza from Bucky’s. It is a regular place they have ordered from over the past several years that they have lived here.
My father has had a brutal 6 months in the hospital with a heart attack and stroke so he needs to eat regularly to keep his blood sugar stable. We phoned in a delivery order, they said 25 minutes (it’s a 5 minute drive to their door). almost an hour later we called again. After a long wait on hold, they came back and said, he is walking out the door. Again we waited and waited and waited. Finally, another half hour and we called again. Another long hold they said that order had gone out. We said cancel it and we will eat elsewhere. I ran down to get quick food for my father who was getting quite weak at this point and they called back saying «that was a pick up order».
Really? We have been ordering from them for over 2 years, they are so close. pizza takes minutes, don’t lie at the end of a couple of phone calls. If you screw up, say we screwed up, don’t say it was a pick up order, we have NEVER picked up from Bucky’s.
I will never order here again. Really disappointed. I thought they would say something, perhaps 10 percent off next pizza, or here take 50 percent off these ones, but no… just tell them, in the end, the customer screwed up… pathetic!

Ever since our good friend recommended Bucky’s years ago we have been enjoying their deliciousness. We have ordered countless pizza’s from them and in all this time I can only think of 1 time that we were disappointed (and I say that loosely.) it was something to do with a topping mix up. Regardless of the error, the pizza they bake is consistently excellent. They use fresh ingredients and love. Can’t bake a good pie without love.
These guys are my go to pizza joint for sure!
Cons
1. They are not open on Monday. Damn you Bucky’s!
2. Pizza is a tad on the expensive side if you are used to Newton or Canadian 2 for 1 garbage. But you get what you pay for here.
I haven’t spoken with one person yet who did not absolutely love their pies. Try it NOW!

Family owned and operated small pizza joint tucked away off 24 th avenue. Fresh and delish! Always get the thin crust multigrain veggie lovers. Great service for pick up or delivery. If pizza could be healthy I would feel that this would be the place that offers «healthy» pizza.

My [bus] friend Lauren mentioned this place to me. She said its the BEST pizza ever. That was a while ago. I mentioned this place to my hubby. He said, sure, let’s go! BEST. Pizza. Ever! We ordered the wise guy. The first comment my husband made was how good the cheese is. I agree. He also commented about the pizza sauce, and how good it is. I agree as well. There isn’t anything about this pizza I don’t like! Definitely must try!!! Thanks Lauren!!!

This Pizza place is excellent! Fresh tasting with great toppings and polite staff. No complaints!
The House Special & Spiked Hawaiian are both freaking awesome!
