Took with me 2×6 beef and chicken patties and a spice loaf. The place is a little difficult to find but worth the authentic Jamaican food.

This is a hidden gem. I did not have the easiest time finding this place since it is in an industrial area. I am so glad I found it. This is delicious authentic Jamaican food and friendly owners. The best patties I’ve had since my last trip to Jamaica. I highly recommend this place.

It was hard to find as it’s located in the middle of warehouse buildings but it was worth the search. there’s only 2 tables so i usually get it to go.

I almost turned away bc I didn’t see the restaurant listed in front of the building board. Disappointed, continue on my way driving around the building. And to my surprise, I found the place. By looking at the pictures, the food was delicious… Best jamaican ever.

A roommate from Toronto brought home a box of beef patties after having lunch there. I tried a quarter of one. After coming back from Toronto and testing out a few places less than a month ago, I can honestly say it compares to the majority of highly rated joints in T.O. The only thing is you have to bake it at a medium low temperature so the inside warms up completely.

Hidden in an industrial park, this little wholesale supply company for Caribbean restaurants in the GVRD also doubles as a small café of sorts. Only 3 tables yet tonnes of tropical posters adorn the dining space. The food is honest and authentic and the people are wonderful. Not cheap; but worth it.

The best Jamaican/​caribbean restaurant I have tested. It’s a small place with 3 tables and hard to find place in middle of surrey. It’s basically a jamaican patty bakery but if you ever wanna taste some real crazy lip smacking goat curry or jerk pork/​chicken I don’t think there’s a competitor. There’s the fish deep fried too. I think it’s called escovitch. Not alot of selection for vegetarians. The only consolation is a veggie patty or trinidad roti. As for the main staple food for jamaicans, calypso makes the best authentic patties as close to real Jamaican taste as possible. Beef chicken and vegetarian parties are regular but on special order ackee and salt fish patties can be made too.
