Chatters Salon

I went to Chatters for the first time only because my stylists had moved to Vancouver and Unilocal had some decent reviews. So I called in asking for a senior stylist… fair enough I got a senior stylist who has been in the industry since 1975. I went in with few pictures that I had in mind as I wanted to get color and cut done… as soon as I showed my pictures to the stylists she came off a bit confused. I asked for her recommendation based on my hair and color and what can be accomplished compared to the pictures I had shown. I got no recommendation rather she brought in couple of books with different colors which I had choose from — fine… but now I am sitting there thinking to myself if I should get up and leave because my level of confidence in the stylist had completely dropped. I didn’t want to be rude so I just asked to do a solid color because there is no way you can mess that up. fair enough got my solid color after almost 3 hours and a trim and still gave 15% tip and felt like crap with my hair. normally when you leave the salon you feel good about your hair and excited… that was not the case on my end. Would I try Chatters again … NOPE!

I had a series of bad haircuts given to me where my long beautiful hair was chopped off so short and choppy looking and anywhere I went, they made my hair look even more choppy and short. It was really really awful!
I came in for a haircut here, and i don’t know how she did it, but the stylist made my short hair look much longer and gave me a haircut that i really felt confident and feminine in. She completely changed the look of the cut to appear longer and less poofy. I recommended my sister go here as well and she left feeling super happy with one of the best haircuts she has ever gotten!
I also love the free product you get with service and their ability to accommodate to customer feedback. Very ethical and professional salon, thank you!

I always try to understand why someone might not be giving me great customer service. as a waitress, i understand that sometimes people have their off days. but what i recieved today was unacceptable. I went to chatters to pick up some products and when i walked in there was an employee who just stared at me. i smiled and waved and she just nodded at me with a blank face. it didn’t make me feel welcome. i went up to her to ask where a certain product was and she didn’t smile or anything just said «over here.» i don’t expect employees to be super, super nice, but at least try to make me feel welcome.

Years ago I used to get my hair styled at places like Champer’s and other salons not because I have complicated hair or anything but because of the experience. Chatters absolutely provides that. It’s like a mini-​spa treatment and I love it. Who doesn’t want a relaxing head rub followed by soothing hair conditioning?
I can not speak of their pricing for women but for a man’s hair cut it is quite reasonable. Also, they generally have specials on their hair/​facial product as well. Guys: for shaving I highly recommend Dermalogica product line. Absolutely amazing! I digress, say goodbye to the $ 5 hair cut butchers and give these guys a try. You will not regret it.

Started going to Chatters White Rock after my cousin suggested I go see Sandy and he was right, the staff is always friendly and Sandy does a great job. When I walked in and saw the entire front was full of all manner of hair products I was a little worried I had set myself up for a high pressure sales environment but so far that hasn’t been the case at all. The location is a little out of the way and parking can be a little difficult but those are fairly minor gripes.

Not horrible, but there are way better salons out there. $ 40 for a women’s cut — would rather spend a bit more at a nicer salon for a way better experience. The salon looks run down and a bit dirty. Not a very luxurious or relaxing interior, but it gets the job done I suppose.

I have been coming here for awhile. I have never had any real complaints. Once when I didn’t like my hair color it was fixed at no additional cost. This wasn’t the hairdressers issue rather me scared to go darker right away.
Appointment times are usually always on time with a professional service. I love the blow out after so you can walk out ready to I out. Always have a free hair product gift for you after a service… Bonus!
Love their selection and prices for products. I use the products Pureology and love it. Have a great point program that guess you additional money off as well.
