Went here for Mother’s Day and I left hungry. There were 6of us for dinner and half of us couldn’t finish our food. We ordered a verity of items from the menu and I had the opportunity to taste a bit of each. The only thing I ate was the chicken. I feel bad leaving a bad review, but I left feeling upset that we spent so much on dinner and most of it was not eaten. The fish was tasteless (tried 3 different types) and cold. The penne was edible, but cold and the sauce was not for me. I’m used to Portuguese meals and might have high expectations, but I’m not a picky eater. The servers were friendly, but our waiter was lacking enthusiasm (I could tell he did not want to be there). They make their own sauces, which were very good. The reason I say this is because I had to put copious amount on the food I did eat. The wine was good. I eat out a lot, it just won’t be here.

Great Portuguese style restaurant, I love their Chouriço (Portuguese sausage) a lot. Also their Cogumelos soup, tasted very rich. Rib-​eye steak with a piece of ham on top, the steak was juicy and the piece of ham matched the steak, potatoes on side just tasted exactly good matched with the steak. Manilhas com Cogumelos was very rich favor with slightly spicy, me and my wife love it so much, but the portion was a bit too much.
Camarao piri piri just tasted okay. We also tried Caldo Verde, Bacalhau a Bras and some of their deserts, all were tasty. I will definitely go there again to try more different Portuguese foods.
Oh, btw, their décor was pretty good too, chairs were comfortable, and have lot of spaces for partying. I would love to try and have a party there sometimes later.

I had high hopes here as I drive by this restaurant often. We went in there for a nice evening but it wasn’t. It started off ok as the chef greeted us and was really nice. However, despite a nice fireplace the tacky décor and noise from a party on the other floor made it uncomfortable. It got worse as we waited 10+ minutes for our beverage and this was 10 minutes to take the drink order not serve the actual drink. Then we ordered an appetizer that was still frozen and we didnt touch. When the waiter came back with the entrée he did not clear the plates from the entrees and just left them there for the duration of the meal. My salmon dish was pretty good but nothing special. My partner order some pasta that tasted premade. The waiter came back to top up our water. He was sweating and it was real gross.
A bad experience that I wish I didn’t make. Will not go back again — ruined our nights :(

Not knowing what to order. our server suggested a seafood platter for two. This was so good. A little bit of everything — Shrimp — Crab — clams — mussels — rice and vegetables. Can’t wait for our next visit.

I had an absolutely inspired meal! Chefe Daniel’s is my new favourite restaurant. How good can a calamari appetizer be? Let me tell you… It was immaculately done and the green sauce was so good we ordered extra bread just to get all of it.
All of the details were spectacular. I had a peri peri cornish hen. Chefe Daniel makes all of his own delicious sauces. The hen was barbecued expertly – loved it – but I surprisingly want to rave about the vegetables. They were very special (nicely done squash of a string variety, perfect potatoes, red peppers and broccoli, and the warm purple cabbage was excellent). Nothing was overcooked.
My wife’s seafood pasta was the best pasta I have had in a dozen years. It came with heaping seafood.
Portions were extremely generous! Crème brule and chocolate moose were wonderful and also of a nice size.
When things slowed down a bit, the very affable Chefe Daniel walked around and talked to patrons – looks like he enjoys it. The meal was excellent +++.
